I was able to download and play at 9PM US/Pacific last night. Got about an hour in and died, gave up and threw the game across the room, sadly it was a download version.

Will try more after work today.

So the game journalism outlets were basically screwed with this game from the start.

Damned if they DIDN'T review the game, because that meant less traffic and loss of clout because the game is, y'know, GOOD.

Damned if they DID review because even the reviewers couldn't lie about the game being actually good, as saying otherwise would crush their credibility anyway.
 
As much fun as it has been watching the psychotic breakdowns on Twitter, I'm not buying the game to "own the troons" or whatever. I'm really sick of this whole marketing gimmick that generates a bunch of sales for reasons completely unrelated to the quality of the game. I got fooled with that game Heartbeat, and I didn't buy Kingdom Come: Deliverance. I have no interest in picking up this AAA open world RPG published by Warner Brothers for a series that, in my mind, peaked at the second book. I don't like political pandering when the left does it (by printing rainbows on everything) and I don't like it when the right does it either. I wish games could just be good on their own merits.

I really don't understand how this is so hard for people to understand. When Ark was having it's (ongoing) meltdown over Black History month being shoved in, the response I saw was 'where's white history month?'

No, you stupid white niggers, that's not the fucking point. I don't care if games were celebrating national suckjob day, I don't want to see it. I play games to avoid thinking about the real world, not to see more of it. It's the same shit here. I'm not buying this game because I want to see jack booted death eaters marching down the streets killing troons, I'm buying it cus it's something I can share with my family, even if that only goes so far as to point and laugh at how shit the series has become.

It does get a bit old. Seems like we lucked out this time and the game is actually decent(ish, depending on your viewpoint) but both sides have supported some real garbage products in the past just to get back at the other side.

Kingdom Come is actually really good and you're missing out if your whole reason for skipping it is "lol marketing controversy".
 
Not buying it for the simple reason that Harry Potter is for obese redditors and 13 year old girls. However I do find it funny that this game is the top game on Steam at the moment.

Nothing. In an open conflict the wizards would be absolutely fucked, despite their magic. Its why even Voldemort had to stick to the shadows - half a dozen wizards could wreak havoc, but only with the element of surprise on their side. Strip that away muggles will be all too quick with yanking the monster from under their bed.

If she's so afraid of trannies she perfectly knew where this was heading and if she didn't it's a good lesson that these faggoys never reason and will never give a shit about being catered to. Also anyone paying attention will notice that for this specific product, everybody and their mother isn't suddenly caving to troons, THIS was the moment to excise their retardation from your viewer pool.
