I love how in every single one of these cope, and seethe posts you can just tell these fuckers really wanna play this game.

Harry Potter was their entire lives, and now a game comes out for it that's not only good, it's everything they've ever fucking wanted, and yet they can't play it because of their own retardation, so they keep trying to tell people to play these other totally cool, and fun games so they can be miserable, and miss out on it just like them.

It might be petty, but I really do hope this becomes one of the bestselling games of all time just so everyone can enjoy what is to these people their childhood dream come true while they stew in misery, and rage because of muh transphobia, and antisemitism.

I recall Null stated that the game doesn't acknowledges the player characters gender. I know that a lot of people think that this maybe due to woke reasons but I think the answer is actually less sinister. As someone who makes mods for games it is a pain in the ass to have NPC's do gender specific dialogue. You have to get the voice actors to do multiple takes for each line and program each of the dialogue for the NPC's as well as program the NPC to know that this character is female or male. Everyone knows that WB is in the hole right now. Their new CEO is doing major budget cuts to all of WB's products. I wouldn't be surprised if Hogwarts Legacy got hit with those cuts. To save time and money on voice acting and programming they probably decided to just have the player character be referred to by gender neutral pronouns. Even trannies would love nothing more and get the biggest gender euphoric boner if a character in the game referred to their tranny character by their preferred pronouns.

Time & budget cuts would explain why none of the female students, who appear and sound like they hit puberty, seem to have breasts as it makes making the models for all of the students easier, I guess.

Ironic that the trannies are trying to ruin everyone else’s fun with spoilers when they treat their own birth names as spoilers.

That suddenly reminds me of when Dumbledore and Harry start deadnaming Voldemort just to piss him off. Rowling must have hated trannies since forever.

Jesus fucking Christ, social media is such a god damn cancer…

I noticed one of the spell tooltips mentions that lower level enemies will be "permanently incapacitated".
Here's the screenshot from Josh's stream...

That's a funny way of saying "Killed"
To be fair, have you noticed all the ghosts? Wizards probably consider death more of a disability

I busted a gut when I met SIRona, but it kind of takes me out of the game since it's supposed to be in the 1890s.
lol I didn't consider that they might have actually made the voice acting incongruent as a joke. I mean I'm sure they just found a tranny who actually talks like that who doesn't realise their casting was a gag, but most of em at least put on a shitty falsetto so that's an actual casting decision. I did burst out laughing at first too.

I said this in chat but I think my favourite part of the game is that the house elves are named Scrote and Dick

Y'know since I'm not a HP fan I had a total brain fart about what "fifth form" meant (in some countries you start counting at 1 again in middle school so I figured the kids were like 17 or something, I know that doesn't make sense, I was sleepy and not actually thinking about it) and it took me like 10 hours to realise they're meant to be 12 or whatever.
Everyone looks like a 30-year-old actor wrapped in newspaper to play a highschool kid, I guess it's part of maintaining the movie aesthetic. Professor Jewel Staite is the one character with regular attractive female proportions and looks like she's from another game.

You're overthinking it slightly but yes you do try to minimise alt recordings in game writing. 90% of this never stands out to the player because it's just about dovetailing options seamlessly. It's not even really about budget (or politics, or coding because only mod authors are using if/else statements instead of relative scripting lol), it's just good standard practice so the work and effort of changing shit doesn't explode multiplicatively.

Tbf they still probably had to program/record gender-specific lines in languages that would sound very unnatural if you never used gendered words. I imagine French for example must have it since even adjectives are gendered, so if they talk about your character, they must pick one.
Also, for example in German even the character creation screen says "this choice will determine your avatar's dormitory and how others address you".

Unfortunately the German translation is still pozzed and uses disgusting "inclusive" made-up gender spellings, (because generic masculinum triggers the snowflakes, so they rather rape the language) which are ugly and ungrammatical.

What are the differences between the "inclusive" and "non-inclusive" versions, if I may ask?

It isn't that hard, especially not for devs who have AAA resources to record two variants of the same line and have the game check if body type A or B was selected. It is very clearly done to not offend some sort of Xim Zer tranny faggot, the fact that it saved a miniscule amount of money is a bonus at best.

It's kind of funny that trannies are trying to ruin Hogwarts Legacy by posting spoilers everywhere. I don't know about you guys, but I don't really give a shit. I'm still planning on buying it (when it goes on sale). It's not like I've never played a game that I've seen spoilers for.

The spoiler literally amounts to, no joke, 'The evil guy cursed someone'. Oh really? The main villain of the game is the guy who did something bad? Really?

Color me fucking surprised!

It's not on the level of 'Dumbledore dies' or 'Sephiroth kills Aerith'. It's: 'One of the ONLY two villains in the game did this thing'.

Even their attempts to ruin people's fun falls flat on it's mangled dick

The only way that it's a 'surprise' is that, initially, the companion this is relevant to believed a Goblin was the one who did it rather than the dark wizard. This information changes jack shit for your story experience.

And hey, it's one of three villains... Okay, the third hasn't been confirmed yet, but I'm 99% sure the woman messing with the dark arts in the plot flashbacks and occupies the same special position as the player is gonna be the main villain.
