History youtuber recommendations?

Historia civilis is just straight up paraphrasing primary sources and making very middling animations for them. Really good if you don't feel like reading the various ancient biographies

Voices of the Past

History through the written accounts of the people who lived through it.

Basically he finds an interesting autobiographical text and reads it in a soothing voices.

He tends to read a lot of pieces from Japan, but does multiple locations and countries.

One of the most amusing parts is that almost every account where they travel to a foreign country the observer compliments the beauty of the locals, especially the women. The only exception I heard was for India, where they went into great detail of how ugly everyone was.

Let me preface this with I have never done an OP before, if you have anything you want me to add or change just let me know. I was suggested to post this thread here by someone in the EC thread. Feel free to post drama, weird tisms in this YouTube subgroup, whatever.

History centered channels on YouTube are an old phenomenon. They probably go back as far as the website itself, which makes sense as YouTube allows for the easy dissemination of information. However much like science, many history focused YouTube channels fall under pop history, and usually have an autistic bias or sperging...

Came here to post this. Also History squad. Actual best historian on YouTube. He recreates dioramas of big battles and nice physical props. Plus the way he speaks is very engaging he could talk about nothing and I could listen to him all day.

I like Obsolete Oddities. Although he covers historical eccentric people and vintage true crime. So if you like that kind of historical material or learning about interesting people from the past, I would recommend him.
