May I interrupt this thread to remark on how truly chilling that picture is? Jesus.

On June 15, 1989, a Polaroid photo of an unidentified young woman and a boy, both gagged with black duct tape and seemingly bound, was discovered in the parking lot of a convenience store in Port St. Joe, Florida. The woman who found the photo said that it was in a parking space where a white windowless Toyota cargo van had been parked when she arrived at the store. She said that the van was being driven by a man with a mustache believed to be in his 30s; police set up roadblocks to intercept the vehicle, but the man has never been identified.

The first time I saw that photo was on some Reddit thread about creepy photos, and it disturbed me so much that I had to keep peeking at the photo with my hand over most of it.

Ironically, Pinochet owned roughly 50000 books including one from Antonio Gramsci, a marxist philosopher and founder of the Communist Party of Italy.

Is that a fucking V.C. Andrews book on the bed?

Allende.jpg

The body of President Salvador Allende broadcast on Chilean television following the September, 11 coup. There is a debate over whether Allende committed suicide or went down fighting.

Unlike many other regimes, the Chilean dictatorship took pride in its brutality and organized public executions and torture. At the Chilean national stadium you could watch a good round of torture for only a few pesos.

The children of those executed would be seized by the by the state and sent to a cult run by Nazis who had escaped the second world war. Sexual abuse was rampant on the cults compound and the CIA was closely involved with covering up the cults activities.

IIRC, the weapon he used was an AKMS, which was a gift from Fidel Castro. (Despite the screenshot's potato quality, I would suggest to spoiler it due to its gory content)

Speaking of Allende:

Video frame of the Columbine shooters on April 20, 1999.

This photo was taken 2 weeks before the Columbine High school massacre. Look in the top left corner and you will find Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the students responsible for the shooting.

I've seen this picture on 4chan repeatedly. Didn't know there was a story about it.

It's apparently somewhat infamous.

V.C. Andrews wrote at least a few dirty books about dramatic incest romance, but I think women really enjoyed them. The main character in her 'Flowers' series is literally SO attractive, that her brother COULDN'T STOP HIMSELF. Edit: Oh wait, I thought you were saying her books are infamous. That photo IS infamous, and it was thought to possibly be Tara Calico, a missing young woman.

An atomic test in Nevada in the 1950s, photographed from what's now the D Hotel in downtown Las Vegas.
