Well it's being proven, once again, you tend to make way more money with smaller, more experimental and ambitious games from smaller studios with less overheads, (Recent example being Clair Obscur 33) than with Triple A companies which blackhole money like no tomorrow. Even studios which have put out successful projects have been shitcanned because "Fuck it, lmao".

I can see Marathon lingering on for a few months before Bungle fucks it up like they did with Destiny. It'll probably have better player retention than a flop like Starfield too, but again, Bungie always fucks up their live service games given enough time.

The game itself is free to play, but some people on steam forums want refunds for the cosmetics items. I don't think there will be any
