SAN DIEGO, Calif. — A frantic search is underway for high-powered explosives that have vanished from Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms—the largest United States Marine Corps base.

Officials at the Southern California base reported the missing items to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department last week. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is also on the case.

KGTV reported: Sources report that approximately 10 pounds of Composition C-4 disappeared during a long training exercise two weeks ago. They also believe the manufactured plastic explosives may have been stolen.

The unit’s commanding officer is considering extending the training exercise until the explosives are found, sources said. They also confirm the commanding officer messaged subordinate commands about a monetary reward for any information leading to the discovery of the C-4.

Spokesperson for NCIS Public Affairs, Jeff Houston, said in a brief statement, “Out of respect for the investigative process, NCIS does not comment on or confirm details relating to ongoing investigations.”

Not a good look...!

Is it me or are these "accidents/mishaps" becoming way too habitual? I could have sworn yesterday or the day before someone made a post of a Triton missile being fired from one of our submarines. Then a few days ago 2 members of the FBI get wacked. And over a week ago we learned about how terribly the National Guard were treated.

Really makes you think.

These are Marines, they probably just mislaid the paperwork or more likely just ate the C4.

Yeah, prep for a false flag is the first thing that popped to my mind. And even if it's an actual wannabe Kaczynski it doesn't matter, it would only help the government.

Government is always looking for an excuse to extend it's power, terrorism has proven to be the most effective in getting the job done.

My first thought: If this should somehow turn out to be the work of Antifa, this will be memoryholed so fast our heads will spin. 'Course I also made the mistake pirating Andy Ngo's book, so I guess I'm pretty much looking for Antifa under the mattress at this point.

My second thought: Not only could I see this happening in the Army, I'm sketpical they'd even notice it was missing, at least for a long, long time.

And let's not forget that a few days ago, someone just waltzed into Joint Base Andrews and into a C-40 without being stopped at the entry. Some U.S. military branches seem to be getting complacent in their security nowadays.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next few headlines include the bombing/attempted bombing of police stations or government buildings/institutions/homes. Crossing my fingers on the C4 being used on Newsom's house when that day comes.
Recreated and blown up in Minecraft of course.

Is it any good? Is the verdict buy or just DL?

We still have missing rocket launchers from the 2000s circulating somewhere around Australia, with most people assuming they made their way into organised crime's arsenals. How likely is it that they were stolen and sold off to some criminal outfit?

It's south California, so probably pretty decent chance it's ended up in the hands of the cartels.

I knew lots of guys who stole ammo, satchel charges, and other weapons.

This is only news because someone is a goddamned snitch.

Sort of. I'm only about halfway through, so I can't offer a full review, but so far he does offer some interesting evidence that Antifa is far from being a loose, leaderless collective, but rather is basically a revolutionary cadre that will cheerfully hurt or kill anyone in advance of their goals, that kind of thing. That is interesting. The day by day review of every fucking Portland protest from 2017 to December 2020 was kind of interesting at first but has become rather repetitive the 3,000th time your read about some AntiFa getting arrested and released on no bail. Nothing about where their money comes from, at least not yet. Which I've always been very curious about. Might be in there, hope so.

The tone and editorial style, though. Ugh. The book reads like a 50 to 80k word long Breitbart article, in a sort of breathless "Did you know, well, didya????" tone that is extremely irritating, at least to me. There's also pictures tossed in that do absolutely nothing to advance his position or to explain anything. It is almost like Hachette had the budget to add images, so what the hey, let's toss in some random pictures of CHAZ, of people wearing all black and so on. There's also some odd sentence construction and random grammar errors, though those might be gone if what I'm reading is an "advance" copy, since I grabbed it off b-ok.cc .

As an aside the woman at Hachette who bought the book for publication was let go right after it was published, despite it selling very well. Make of that what you will. Oddly, Ngo isn't mentioned by name in the article, only the title of the book. A sort of partial Voldemort-ing?

Our tax dollars at work? Im starting to think the guards have legit the same intelligence as MGS guards.
These are people in the early 20s. Just like most security guards their main focus is how to be able to watch porn / check out people on Tinder and not be caught.

Come on now man, Antifa is busy yelling at the Biden admin on Twitter, all confused why they don't matter anymore now that they've played the useful idiot ("B-but you promised us … !!" 😭), they're not stealing fucking C4.

You could be right, and I agree the average "antifa" is doubtless like this. But I'm of the opinion that there's a core of "true believers" who are organized as well as motivated enough, ruthless enough and intelligent enough to pull off something like this. Could be wrong, of course.

But, yeah, if it got stolen cartels are probably more likely than not the culprit.
