Hmmm...wasn't it supposed to come out in early 2019?
 
Remember when Toonami was this block you stayed up late to watch, because you'd barely seen animation like that? Because they played pretty good music in the bumpers? The elusive desirability of the broadcast itself? There weren't many places to see that kind of stuff when Toonami was a thing, but the 'brand' itself was comprised of little more than AMV bumpers and localized content.

What did that brand become after the 90's? I can't imagine it being relevant to kids today in an era where everything's a click away.

There's a rightfully-obscure Korean movie called Blue Seagull made by some nobody studio (I never caught the name of it if it was listed, but it's been long defunct far as I can tell), and I only bring this up because the end credits featured behind-the-scenes footage of the animators and producers slaving away at this piece of shit for what had to have been a year and had to put on an act that they were proud of their work. That's the Asian studio I'm imagining they hired for this trainwreck.

God, what a turd! Reminded of "Armageddon" again, no not the Michael Bay film, this shit!
Couldn't find the English dubbed version I saw years back but this'll have to do. Would you believe Manga Video licensed this crap?

This is probably at least partially true, especially if Crunchy Roll saw the negative reaction and decided to keep things hush hush to let things blow over, but these confidentially stipulations are likely less "don't talk about HGS until X date" and more "don't talk about HGS until the show is X% complete"

In which case at least part of this is the tried and true SJW work ethic creeping through.
