I’m getting impatient and decided to check the twatter for a possible release date. That was obviously a dead end. I decided to look for posts from random people talking about the show, only found ‘people complaining about the show’ and ‘people complaining about other people complaining about the show’. Found the “official” Twitter account for the show, its been abandoned since August 2018:

Wouldn't be surprised if Crunchyroll dropped this like a hot potato after the reactions to the trailer came out. Not even the target demographic wanted this show. It was blatantly just a mashup of Steven Universe and popular anime without anything to make it stand out.

So High Guardian Spice has pretty much been dumped like a Japanese relationship in that it's being ignored and everyone's trying to pretend it never happened. Still feel bad for Raye in being cucked out of their own creation, but should've done more research, kid. Think even when it comes to lost/cancelled media, no one's going to be willing to talk about this in passing for quite some time.

Was it ever revealed what the Korean studio was that was supposed to animate this, by any chance?
 
People working on stuff like this almost always have to sign non-disclosure agreements, so the crew not bringing up new info on the show isn't really a sign of cancellation.
I don't think its cancelled, but rather it will just be silently released by CR without fanfare.

Isn't that the whole point of WomenInAnimation (I think that's what their lobby is called), to take the money while making a promise that they might do something?

It looks like they're wrapping up some aspects of production. Link related is a CR writer/storyboard artist, so I guess those parts have been finished.

It might make it out for March 2020 at this rate. Are they all just being this fucking lazy or what? They chose to release that fucking trailer to really wank themselves off with fuck all to show for it?

That's really not how things work for this shit.
