I noticed that too! How the fuck does a mace cut something off? Bash it to bits, sure, but cut smoothly? Jesus christ people, it's not an axe or sword.
Just bad all over.

Y'know, remember when CalArts used to have talented people from the likes of Brad Bird, Mike Judge, Stephen Hillenburg, Tom McGrath, Andrew Stanton, Matt Groening, etc.? Noticed I used the term, "talented" as strongly as possible because they know how to draw and animate because learnt how draw and animate. Sure, nu-CalArts students CAN draw, albeit with the same exact anime-esque bean face and posture. This is the same exact jaded, generic, tiresome cliche they keep utilizing even after graduation.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll wait til someone pitches an animated project that's new and innovated.
You do feel sorry for today's generation being as wasted as they are, creatively.

They made it private, must've gone over well.

To think I paid for this service for years - then they started the censorship and trans shit.

Every part of this is awful.
Did that character...cut a tentacle with a spiked mace?

Well, you see, this is a show targeting small children. That means only the lightest amount of cartoony gore is allowed, so sacrifices has to be made in terms of dumb things like "logic" and "consistency". Though, I would have just drawn the kid with a knife.

EDIT: Apparently not. Surprising levels of gore is in the scene I posted below.

Probably should've just cut the weapon entirely and gone with a slice of magic or whatever.
Magic? At a MAGIC academy!? Get outta here with the nonsense, bro! Can't you see these kids are being taught only the important parts of being a magical high guardian, or whatever, by fighting tentacles with maces?

"duuuhhh people who bash this are alt right backwater yehaws"

You know what's more stupid? A bunch of do nothing armchair spectator hobby elitists who think another nation owes them their attention to make animation their way for the last 20 some years defending amerime garbage that not even Cartoon Network would pick up back in the late 2000s.

Personally I feel the calarts artstyle is more of an industry standard that people have to follow and is cheaper for animation, I think many of these people can draw it's just that corporate won't allow them so they can draw stuff easy to animate

I posted this before, but fucked up the formatting, so I'll try again. Check out this fight scene from the trailer

If you notice, its actually a bit gratuitous; a far cry from the "uwu girls find out stuff about themselves through love and friendship and crying while being drawn off model!". The MC actually runs a bug through and runs with it a bit. I actually think its pretty cool.

Now wait just a cotton picking minute! If they had literal bloodshed to show, why'd they waste people's time with this poorly animated swing:

And this poorly animated arrow shot:

The runthrough is actually animated pretty well, yet you lead with stuff that an noob animator would get shit for animating?

It's childish of me, but I'm really amused when ad copy has sentence fragments.

EDIT: Or maybe they meant "hangs out." Either way, hilarious.

Somehow I get the impression Cam will give him a voice similar to the one he had for "Dogtanian" or maybe Snoopy!

For anyone wondering what Snapdragon's voice actress looks like

And yes, Julia Kaye is yet another Troon, who's also done work on Disney's Big City Greens

NGL, Cam actually does a pretty decent job as Snoopy

Snapdragon's VA doesn't look nearly as bad or undignified as this classic picture here

Even giving the old chick a break (you can't help being old), they showed women that looked like they were actively trying to fit SJW stereotypes. Could you imagine if they just showed Snapdragons VA, the gory action scene, and talked about some of the plot? I think people would actually be on HGS' side. The show was always going to have the odds stacked against it, why actively handicap it more?

I just figured I'd compare the canonically "Male" character and his VA just for shits and giggles

I'm sure snapdragon is as male as is VA is whatever gender they say they are. I look forward to the ubiquitous "you are valid uwu desu" episode that I'll probably skip due to it being so generic.
