Caught this brown recluse chilling out in a pair of pants I was about to put on.

I'm really looking forward to the next few days of borderline neurotic paranoia which will involve, at the very least, spastically flapping out every article of clothing I wear before putting it on.

Well, the tooth was too far gone and we went with extraction -I hope to get an implant in the future. I'm not in much pain, just bummed it came to this.
 
I'm thinking about canceling my Workkeys test Friday that I'm required to take to apply for this job. I'm flunking all the quizzes in the locating informaton segment. I'm really bad at numbers, and once I start looking at something everything turns into a blur of info I can't process. I'm just mentally slow when it comes to things like that. No wonder I can't find a job.

Don't cancel it. Just brush up a bit on maths until Friday. You can do it!
 
I just invented* "peanut butter jelly rice." After making the rice, you stir in a spoonful or two of peanut butter and jelly. It actually turned out OK. It looked like brownish rice.

Scratch that, it's actually pinkish. It just looked brown in dim yellowish light.

*someone else could've invented it, but at the time, I didn't know if anyone else came up with the idea.

Boyfriend found one bedbug on the box spring. We put one of those covers on it but it must have ended up with some little holes when we were rotating the furniture every few days to check for signs. We're gonna put another cover on it.

We're either going to have every goddamn piece of furniture covered to the point there's no room to move or I'm going to burn the place down. It had been a good few weeks since the initial spotting of the first motherfucker but oh god I feel them crawling and chewing and agghlkgh

We are pretty sure it's not a serious infestation. But it's never fun. It's like your doctor going "well, your cancer hasn't metastasized!"
 
Doing alright. Been procrastinating on my math, but I found that I still have a week to finish the section I'm on, which I'm already half way through. So I feel a bit better about that.

Call an exterminator. NOW. Bed bugs are absolutely NOT to be fucked with and it will be loads, loads cheaper to drop a few hundred right now as opposed to dealing with a larger infestation. In the meantime, a spray bottle of alcohol will kill any you see on contact, and spreading Diatomaceous earth will kill them slowly. Jesus christ, good luck. :(

Yeah, we've been doing the DE thing to the point where it looks like someone went crazy with the parmesan on spaghetti night. He found one on his ceiling about a month ago and then we launched into this whole nightmare. We haven't seen signs of any until that night. I'm going over today and I seal any and everything that I take in inside plastic garbage bags. I change immediately and stuff the clothes in there too. We've seen no blood on the sheets so in our amateur guesses it's not severe?

My friend had to have her house tented by an exterminator because there was too much square footage whereas we're dealing with a one-bed apartment. But I'm going to have the exterminator talk tonight.

Or I might just cover every surface in double-sided tape when he gets home. *sigh*
 
I went to a school, and I found out a program getting into special education. It might be something that makes up for the fact that I can't be in a university due to cost. I also might make a apointment with a high school special ed teacher I was with for advise. I won't give up on my dream.

Other then that, I visited a hospital I voluteered for three years. I also got a Psychology Today issue while there. Day went pretty good.
 
Good. Took a math exam today. This time, I'm sure I did well (by that, I mean I at least felt my answers weren't bad. Last time I did that, I made "corrections" that turned out to bite me, hard.) Also had to register for classes but I need 2 more units to be full-time. Gonna have to ask a peer tomorrow to know of the classes they take and ask them if their professor is good. Just need the units (The classes I need would have to wait for the semester after since I feel the time schedule could leave me with more than I can handle).
 
I still can't pass part 6 of the "locating information" section of the work keys practice test. It's super embarrassing.

I had to find the answers off of a college's website, and work backwards to figure out how they got that answer. Seriously. It was that messed up.

Talked a friend of mine down from suicide tonight. I've made numerous attempts over the years and quite obviously failed at every one of them (starting at age 4).
I had to take an ativan to calm down and that scrip was a miracle because I was a big abuser when I was 14/15.

And then of course I had to have a little hot lemonade with a shot of blueberry Stoli and feeling really good.

I feel a lot of things. A lot of memories that I'm able to be stronger now but a lot of questions about those, wondering if it's that front I put on for so long. I feel good that I was able to help my friend. He wasn't the first and he wasn't the last. I was feeling anxiety about something else when I popped my ativan and he reached out to me. I want to be available. I can handle these things. I will (and refuse to be) a suicide line but I feel like I've got such valuable experience in my life that I HAVE to show them where I have come from.

I think people (myself included) only see the success in others. We very easily look past the little triumphs in life like leaving the house, interacting with someone at the coffee shop as opposed to buying a coke at self-checkout, and want the end result without the middle. I don't feel like it's my calling but I definitely feel that I have a lot tell people about how my path wasn't as easy as it seems. But that's life and I'm having dinner with someone I used to work with who just told me that he admired the way I handled EVERYTHING at my previous job.

(tl;dr abused various opiates from 14-15, got clean, struck up again at 19-20 until second OD in a week literally woke me up and I wasn't sure if I died or was on god's bathroom floor)

I think it's needless to say I'm very happy I have understanding strangers and semi-strangers on an internet board to hear my ramblings and a loving family that also hears. I came for the CWC, laughed at the ForeverKailyn, and stayed for you guys. <3
 
My roommate surprised me with a birthday cake when I came home. I'm also going drinking after work with some friends tomorrow to celebrate. I'm pretty excited and stoked that I won't be by myself for this birthday.
 
60 push-ups (well, 30, 15, 10 and 5 with short breaks in between), 60 crunches (after a 10+ minute walk home), and 45 minutes of jogging. That felt really good. I'm sending nudes to my boyfriend.

The weather's been pleasant lately. It's rained almost every day but cleared up by the evening. Perfect for jogging.
 
First full week of my new job and things are amazing. Very little stress, a calm environment, and some interesting people to work with. Had my stitches out last Friday, and only one wound is really open. But a Kendall AMD anti-microbial pad and Mefix tape has been helping keep the weeping to a minimum. Will probably have an ugly scar there for the rest of my life, but I'm not concerned.

Only issues I've been running into are dietary, but having no gallbladder will send you running to the bathroom due to no bile storage. Need to get back into the swing of more fiber.
