I came into this thread with the intention of venting about my college woes, and here's littlebiscuits with something that makes my issues look absurdly trivial. I'm so sorry to hear that. That's a situation that nobody should be in, and my heart goes out to you and her.

Anyway, I'm applying for transfer to four year schools, and reading over my transcripts just reminds me of how fucking dismal my academic career used to be. Five straight semesters of me refusing to accept reality. I'm just hoping they look at last semester (a 3.2 term GPA) and maybe give me a chance despite my 2.19 cumulative GPA and the fact that I've spent five years out of high school just spinning my wheels. *SIGH*

I'm going to attempt to give you drunken advice, I'm literally browsing the CWCKI with a bottle of wine while crying, but.....

don't even worry about grades, your going to be okay. I fucked around in high school and had terrible grades, but my college essay was so funny and weird (I wrote about a time when I farted in barns and noble) that a bunch of schools accepted me and most of them wrote back with letters specifically saying, "wow you're a huge dumbass. Want to go to Berkley?"

My sister taught me that you can't compare one person's problems to another. You just have to deal with what ever life gives you.

That story about your essay made me laugh like an idiot for about half a minute straight. Thanks for making me smile.

Reminds me of a long buried childhood memory. When my brother and I were really little kids, our mom dragged us to this horrid, moth-ball smelling store called Joanne Fabrics in the mall. It felt like we were there for fucking hours and the situation worsened when some cadaver of an old lady cut the most vile, mustard-gas fart. It filled the entire store and smelled like a deer carcass stuffed full of rotting oranges. My brother and I were literally gagging while our mom just absent mindedly looked at fucking plastic beads and wire pipecleaners. Like what the hell bitch, can't you smell?

Yeah yeah :story: but I hope my traumatic childhood memory brightened your day at least somewhat.

I think every mom in america has this one store that she always dragged her kids in and the kids were bored as fuck the whole time. Mine was the thrift store when mom looked for clothes.

I used to hate shopping for clothes. Then I got older and started to want to be stylish.

Then the cosplay bug hit and I'm going to IKEA and buying new furniture...

My cat passed away about 2 hours ago as of this writing. She would've turned 5 this fall.

My brain's still trying to make sense of it. It still feels like she'll crawl out from under the bed any moment wanting cuddles.

I really want my baby back.

Aw man. Now I'm sad.

5 is pretty young for a cat. That sucks and I'm sorry for your loss. *SIGH*

Oh pumpkin, I'm so sorry. I wish I could do something to make the pain go away. Cat's are such loves. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I'm really sorry. I lost my old cat back in August so I know how you feel :(

awwwwwwww... I wonder what happened, that's so sad when you have a pet or a child or anything that dies young!

Today, I'll be having my first quiz for Theater Arts. It shouldn't be hard since it's multiple choice, not to mention that the book used for it is small and short. Honestly I feel this college semester might be better than the previous semester.

I'm doing good but frustrated to the fact that there are only a handful of magic users in literature. It really pisses me off.

Finding a magic user in a story is easy.

Yeah, just pick up like a fantasy book or Harry Potter. It shouldn't be too hard unless you are referring to a specific genre or something.

@C-no and Exball

I can't just pick someone or something up unless it's public domain. And besides, I don't want to rip off on just some books that actually from mainstream. I don't want my game to be labeled as a fanfic. XD

Are you writing a paper about magic users? PM me, I know a ton. A lot of viking literature is about magic users. Try the Ragnarssona þáttr or Völsunga saga. Also in general, Völsunga saga is bad ass.

Lots of folklore from around the world have magic users. That's public domain, right?

Thanks, guys. I really appreciate it.
They said either a bloodclot formed somewhere it really shouldn't have, or part of one somewhere broke off and got in her lungs and spinal cord.
They said even if I brought her in the moment she started acting strangely, there's nothing that could've been done.
She didn't go alone, though, so there's that... I just miss her so much.

My poor dad has been going through a lot recently, and it's kind of stressing me out as a result. I'll lay out the events chronologically:

-His older sister fell and broke her hip, and had to stay in rehab for several months.
-During this time, his father passed away.
-With their father gone, his siblings now have to sell the house they've been living in ever since they were kids.
-His older brother has stage 4 cancer in both his lungs and liver, and it's only a matter of time until he passes as well. Said brother also had cancer previously, his bladder removed due to complications, and open heart surgery.
-His younger brother is stubbornly refusing to sell the house, claiming that since he's the executor, he gets to make the decisions.
-He said we may as well pack up and move to Florida since none of his siblings love him anymore.

*SIGH*
