Re: How Was Your Day?
Today has been an absurdly good day so far. I woke up and was greeted to a message from a friend (I only get to talk to them about once a week, so those messages always lift my spirits), and I thought the day would be pretty bad because the time I spent replying to them cost me my shower (I at least got to wash my hair in the sink). But when I took off, everything just sort of started going my way. I turned on the car, and one of my favorite songs started playing (it's such a great feeling when the first thing you hear in the morning is something you love, and it gets you totally by surprise). This song, to be exact:

Whenever I hear a song I like in the morning, the day is usually pretty great for me. So I changed the station because the song ended, and the station usually plays stuff that isn't that awesome, and as soon as I change it, another one of my favorite songs starts playing:

It's actually pretty good to have mainstream tastes.
Math was just nothing but an evaluation of the class and working on a project which is literally just an assignment that we have a week to finish. We also got hints as to what's going to be on the exam. We played a game in government class, and my team almost got the most points. People were fighting over me because somehow, everyone knows I'm one of the highest ranked in the class (probably because the teacher is constantly telling me what a good job I'm doing). In the end, I answered a fair amount of the questions, so I'm not only ready for the final, but also useful to some extent. Clouds began to cover up the sky when I left, and the wind started picking up hard. Lovely. ♥ I ran into a friend in the parking lot and found a cool Alaska key chain that I currently have on my house key. I went straight home and took a nap, then went to drop off a check for my grandfather. We borrowed some money from him, but we got to pay him back today. On the way there, guess what I heard again:

I sat down and talked with my grandparents for a bit, then went home and did my thing for a while. My brother got hungry and gave me six dollars to go pick up burgers for the both of us (terrible burgers, but burgers nonetheless). While waiting in line, guess what started playing on the radio again:

The station loves this song as much as I do.
So I'm paying the cashier, and while I'm sorting out the change (it was $6.50), she says, "sir, this is seven dollars." I smiled, dropped my change in her hand, and took the bill back. My brother unconsciously gave me a dollar. I'd give it back to him, but fuck him. After eating lunch, I just laid back and watched two episodes of My Name Is Earl and played MGS for a bit (hardly anything to study for today). Had to go pick up my dad at this point. Traffic was a bitch, but I was in too good of a mood to care. Turns out my parents got invited to some dinner thing, so my dad is leaving me with some $20-$30 to feed everyone. After that, he felt I was doing a lot of stuff for my grandparents and him as well (and I really have been, even if I moan about doing things for my mom a lot), so he pulled out a 20 and gave it to me. I guess his paycheck was especially meaty this month, which is good because I was getting scared about our financial condition after everything that happened in April. So now, I think I'm just gonna resume not doing anything because the only thing I really have to do tomorrow is take the first part of my Am. Lit. final, and I should have everything covered (turns out I have read and interpreted the works of Robert Frost before... a lot, actually... I somehow forgot he wrote a lot of his poems). So to sum up, Tejano music, burgers, MGS, money, and friends. Life is good.
