I forgot to add that yeah, I kind of get the idea of making it a level hazard as it does give hive worlds even more character to differentiate them from just regularly infested with terminids planets but I think a middle ground would be better. Have a Hive lord level hazard that shows up for like ten minutes tops and then leaves in regular missions and a special mission where you specifically fight one, maybe make it sturdier or give it more mechanics then what it currently has as it would be the only main objective, probably a short timer too. That way the hive world would still have their own hazard while making Hive Lords in regular missions less obnoxious. Have some bonus radio chatter dialogue and a reward for killing the level hazard Lord of course.

I played two full operations and one out of the six missions tried killing my PC. After extraction the screen got stuck at black with healthbars and then my GPU fans started spinning like a jet engine so I alf+f4ed. This was likely for everyone as I then relaunched the game and one of the randos who I was playing with when this happened rejoined, he said he was playing on xbox and same shit happened to him. Don't know if this is a new bug or not but figured I'd give a headsup.

Still no cultists :stress:

Cultists got cut because they didn't match the vibe of a shitty 80's alien movie. They were too original for larpability. It's why I leaked the models and how to play them.

Oh, speaking of leaks. I got some more.

If you are on the PC you can now replace the clankers with Orks.

Beat me to it, looks really good. I'll never touch HD2 but if I did for whatever reason I'd use this mod in a heart beat.
Niggers at AH pretty much still butthurt about the players not sucking up for their vision, and they despise us for that...
Late replay but yeah, exactly that. All these developers and publishers hate you for all sorts of reasons (such as what you stated). The original HD devs? The passion behind that game? Gone. Either still there but their souls have been lost in corporate greed or they up and left. Worse is, they're egotistical about it, they think they're hot shit and untouchable and everyone will buy their slop no matter what, only to shit and piss everywhere when their blatant antagonism backfires. "You went out of your way to save the expendable blueberries that a lot of people actually like for being the guardsmen to your space marines? How fucking dare you go against their design philosophy of dying constantly! Here's a trailer where we mock you and slaughter what you love with a big shiny new toy which you WILL use like the good little-where is everyone going?!"
Thankfully they don't have the fallbacks that other entertainment industries have, they don't have infinite money and protection like Hollywood, they aren't comparatively cheap to create and release like literature, they're still a nerd hobby so while vidya has greatly increased in popularity, it lags behind movies and streaming when it comes to an all encompassing media base (viewer base/player base), and they still have to support it with updates, bug fixes, and all sorts of time consuming and expensive patches if it's not a one and done game (which HD2 sure as shit isn't).
The problem with all this however is how destructive their behavior is, if something fails or initially succeeds but dies earlier than expected, we won't see anything from that IP again for years, if ever. Applies to all media really but since it's easier to crash and burn with vidya imo it's more painful.

Oh that helmet gives me huge Power Rangers vibes.

Also for anyone looking for advice on how to kill the crushers faster without just having to mag dump them to death. I don’t know if their heads or med pen or not but for sure if you have something heavy pen use your heavy pen weapon to destroy their helmets to reveal their head and then shoot the head and they’ll go down instantly. Like the bolt pistol that just came out can pop the helmet in 1-2 shots then do one more follow up to their ugly dome and they’ll go down like a bag of shit.
the armor on their heads is heavy pen, laser cannon can't pierce them

Still no cultists :stress:

guess I have to follow through
if the update doesnt have cultists ghouls and the ninja niggas that got leaked im roping
maybe I can cling to hopium that cultists come after whatever campaign we're doing right now to actually get inside of the void

I like the new enemies, especially the Crusher even if they are uninspired. The problem is that 2 enemies is not enough. Current base faction has only 9, 11 if you want to be generous and count the telsa and gazer. Cultists had 13.
The necromorph rip off is the worse. Arrowhead employees probably said: "let's add the stalker from the bugs onto the illuminate because they weren't annoying enough. "

I want to crack open the skull of an AH developer to even begin to comprehend their thought process. They take a front that is already slim in terms of enemies and then when it comes time to make sub-factions they just rip parts of it out, this new side of the illuminate has what like 4 enemies? The crusher, necromorph, voteless and the fleshmob, I'm not counting the leviathan as one:that's barely even an enemy and two: they just spawn in cities during sieges if I remember this right. So this is a faction that doesn't even have a reinforcement mechanic that can be played around they just fucking come at you from the fog of war in tides and you can do little about it. Also are the crushers supposed to be this common? I had packs of like a dozen of them today a few times but 3-4 at a time was near constant. Found out laser cannon is pretty good at them since it pops their helmets quick, the heavy machine gun is no good as they can take a full mag to the torso no issue, auto cannon is also good since you can stagger whole packs of them if they are clustered and that tends to happen on city maps with the alleyways, gas because of course it is, any one have an opinion about flamers against them?

The actual enemy side of this patch fucking sucks so far (it's not even outright BAD, it's just anemic and disappointing), but in my own experience everything else has been pretti kewl. The SEAF changes are outright good, but then again if AH didn't have their heads up their asses this is what the SEAF would've been like as soon as they were released. Similarly, the adjusted reload-backpacks are also where they should be... or rather, where they should have been on release...

I'm going to call this update outright "good" only if they really blow our minds and there's at least like 3 cultist units on top of all the new shit we already have, as soon as we actually breach the Void itself.

God damnit I hate it that AH never fucking learns to not overtune enemy spawns. New illuminate missions are near impossible because the crushers can spawn in massive waves. Was literally being chased by twenty crushers all mission just now. Take one down and another one immediate takes it place and he’s brought friends.

How is it so. Fucking. Difficult for these devs to learn basic fucking spawn rates for heavy enemies.

Same here. Eased in with a Diff 5 mission, and the never ending amount of Crushers made it feel like a Diff 9-10, especially as we didn't know how to counter them. Somehow we finished the map but only by kiting everything.

(One EAT or a Railgun on safe mode will pop their faggy helmets, and then you focus their exposed heads for a quick kill. Figuring that out was actually pretty enjoyable, so uh, thanks AH I guess.)

This was on D5 I usually dive D7-8 when with randos as I don’t trust to get decent players on D8 and above. I went lower a difficulty as a bit of a practice mode to get used to the new enemies. But fuck even Vox Engines during Cyberstan were a million times more manageable. And while their spawns too were overzealous not to this degree. And again even so they were far easier to kill.

The best part about the update is that
  1. you get double the emote slots
  2. you can hug the seaf troops
I feel the compulsion to hug every seaf troop I see and I acktually get a little sad when my gay little platoon gets wiped out lmao

They even say shit like to not to let them go or that they love you. Got the first one last night literally the first time I hugged a SEAF to test the mechanic. Which speaking of you could even do the hand shake emotes with them as well.
