A lot of people fall into the noob trap of carrying a bunch of high cool down stuff because big explosion good and then when they turn a corner and face a mob of stuff they are shit out of luck because they don't have any rapid fire strategems to unshit their pants.

The big flying things incentivize you to not stand around and fight for you will be shot, the illuminate scout things encourage you to not get tunnel vision

This can't be stated enough, every other match I join seems to have players engaged in random shootouts against endless enemies. You should avoid combat outside of objectives or side missions if you can. I joined a match yesterday and the 3 players were down to single digit reinforcements fighting in a corner of the map, I ran off and finished the final couple of objectives and they kicked me as a thanks.

It's also funny that a lot of players don't understand how being kicked mid-game works now, it just puts puts you in your own game as if they had left, so it's not a bother being with toxic hosts anymore.
 
I haven't touched the game in so long since it burned me out quick, tried playing last night and noticed I'm only level 16 and I ain't going to grind out these levels.
 
I have a long in-game friends list of randos who I friended after seeing them be capable operators during an operation. Lots of absolutely kino usernames in there. I think that really helps with filtering dumbasses, just don't have dumbasses in the first place. And it always warms my heart when I join one of them or their groups and they greet me warmly because they think highly of my ability in the game too. A surprising number of them are PS5 players, even.

The update brought a lot of the tards back, even to super hell dive. It’s not everyone though, I brought a random player who was level 4 into d10 and he did pretty good, better than the other window lickers who joined.

Also if you haven’t done the gone in 360 seconds achievement, the blitzes on earth make it super easy.
 
I tried to play this game again and nearly everything about it is so broken and half-baked that i can't even get into it again. They still haven't fixed the severe stability issues so you have to run the game at much lower settings than it defaults to. the game will hard crash if there's any serious framerate fluctuation, i think it has something to do with the anti-cheat but it's really just obnoxious. it defaulted my 1080p monitor to 1440p 144hz ultra supersampling and i have to turn off the supersampling and antialiasing and reduce the framerate to 70 to get the game to stop crashing. it is stable at around 120 fps but the game will just randomly crash to desktop if i play it with vsync on so i have to limit it to 70 and it seems to be fine. this shit is somehow worse than Tarkov and it's by a major AAA studio not 4 drunk unskilled russian unity devs

theres probably some interaction between having an obscure chipset and console devs being lazy and not crossing their Ts but i remember overwatch 2 just flat out didn't run because they used non-compliant avx-512 instructions that didn't work on any x299 processors. that's just being sloppy and i expect the same type of shit from devs that only know how to dangle microtransaction dlc and lie

They're definitely blurring the lines between "protect blueberries" and "simping for SEAF waifu". I went on there a few times this week to see if someone had figured out good way to kill the fucking leviathans and instead got a face full of peak reddit simp behavior. SEAF Girl has almost certainly been rule 34'ed by now, and that's something I hope to avoid seeing. I don't have the precise words to explain my intuition, but when i saw that picture above, I knew it was a reddit pervert thing. The game is about massacreing aliens and robots by the bushel fucking basket, not lusting after the Eagle pilot, which is why I find the reddit stuff insufferable.

The thing is I'm not going into the Helldivers discord where they ban you for rejecting their furfag mods, and this forum is like 10-20 regulars, so i need to get my info on enemy weaknesses somewhere.
