im so pissed the new python heavy armor looks great but has a shit perk compared to the viper commando one when peak physique was made for the minigun

Halo tv series was bad. God of War tv series is probably going to be bad. Helldivers movie is probably going to be bad.

If definitely is. The whole gimmick of Squids is being very vulnerable and low in numbers and needing their abilities and technology to fight. This thing will shred cultists if, IF, they're still coming. Which I doubt.

Plus illuminate are in the background along with their ruins in warbond art.
 
I mean the big plot point right now is a massive uptick in dissidents, which is usually tied to something involving the Squids

Hey you never know, Paul Verhooooooven never bothered to actually read Starship Troopers and he managed to make a good movie by complete accident despite completely misunderstanding what he was adapting on a basic, fundamental level.

The main thing I'd want to do is to make it so that, the Helldivers themselves are all no-name actors, and the members of the squad we follow actually die about as quickly as they do in game. So, somebody gets replaced like every 2-4 minutes during the course of the movie because the last guy died. So about half the movie is on the Super Destroyer(s) involved with a solid cast of actors, and then the other half of the movie is a rotating crew of bumbling idiots who are constantly getting replaced, but all end up following the same 'archetypes' to reflect how when you're actually playing the game, it's still the 4 same players controlling what are canonically different helldivers.

Well, that's how I'd start with the plot, myself...

You can't. It's not possible. You can make a great short film, or a great fanfilm. But you could never make an official feature length film. Arrowhead's idea of what Helldivers 2 is supposed to be is just incompatible with making a heroic action film. If Arrowhead were smart (and Hollywood were still creative) the movie could be in-universe propaganda where the movie taken at surface level is a fun action epic about killer robots and massive bugs, but when observed closely is extremely dark in its implications and actually has something to say. But you can't make a movie like that anymore. The concept of Super Earth is downright unthinkable. It must be racially diverse, but they're nazis. It must be socially equal, but they're racist. It must be in support of homosexuality, but they're super traditionalist to an authoritarian degree. As it is, watching Helldivers bite it by the hundreds over the course of an hour-thirty to enemies you can't even justify as being 'better guys' isn't going to be very interesting to the average Joe. Even less when they're all racially diverse (except whites) folx (except white men) girlbosses making shitty quips and talking about how evil Super Earth is even though they are supposed to be Super Earth's SS.

It won't appeal to players who want a product that respects the source material. It won't appeal to normies who want a cool action flick and not some self referential garbage to a game they'll never play. And it won't appeal to leftists because Super Earth is le heckin' nazis and the players are evil fucking chuds.

One thing is for sure. It will pull a Starship Troopers and inadvertantly fuck up its own message.

Such retardation, any lingering interest I had with this game is gone if they do dumb shit like this on top of the other issues I had with this game. Wonder what else is wrong with the game that we don't know of, because if it took a third party to do this then Arrowhead is fucked.
 
Minigun's fun. It's not the best weapon ever but it does what it says on the box and well. The sheer amount of bullets being sent down range shreds anything it can damage. Tanks die in like 3 seconds flat if you can get behind them. Hulks don't last much longer from behind. Nor do chargers or especially Impalers. And it's more accurate than you might expect. I feel like the game is finally in a good place again and I'm enjoying it.

Also I genuinely think they lied about testing HDDs and finding they took a little longer to load on the slim version. I think they're trying to cover their ass because it seems flat out faster on my HDD. Complete bullshit on their part. At least it's finally over now.

Rapid Acquisition is extremely chaotic that is going to be balls to the wall hard on higher difficulty levels. Fun idea through. Its like Blitz but instead you gotta steal a bunch of plat bars before the shuttle comes and picks you up.

It's fucking insane. It's nonstop constant spawning the entire mission so there's like 400 bots crammed into the tiny ass map lmao
