This is off-topic, but I just figured out more evidence that the whole asmodeun crystals or whatever they called were never planned and was a season 2 addition, because none of the succubi/incubi have one on them in season 1.

Unless it's canon that they're all wearing them as butt plugs, which all I can say to that is...ew.

I really sometimes hate how these two shows will almost forced you to think on these characters' privates for plot relevancy.
As if you weren't already thinking about the characters private parts? You seem to know an awful lot about demonic butt plugs.

The show literally shows an incubus pulling one out.

You really can't blame this one on me. The people who work on this show are constantly horny as hell.

To this day I still confused why was the episode called "Mastermind", Mastermind of what?
The entire episode was about prosecuting whoever was controlling the "stolen" grimoire. First it was all of I.M.P, but Blitz talks Satan down and explains that he was in charge, the rest just followed. Satan agrees; imps and hellhounds should simply be subservient, so they acted appropriately and instead it was solely Blitz's fault. Blitz was the "mastermind", he stole the grimoire, manipulated Stolas, and led the others astray.

Which is why Stolas interrupts and explains that no, he was the "mastermind". The whole song is Stolas playing into it, claiming that Blitz is a simple, lowly imp, and there's no possible way he could have actually put together a plan like that, obviously it was himself that was the mastermind behind everything. He's totally bluffing, of course, but Satan is way more interested in flexing on a Goetia over executing some random imp he doesn't give a shit about.

And Why would Satan lie about how he "ruled the endless dark" I know Viv said "Satan can say anything he wants", but WHY would he lied about it? What does he GAIN from lying?
The part that annoyed me here was that it was a fucking Viv Tweet later that even says he's lying at all. I know that's typical for the series but fuck that annoyed me. Oh yeah no, we wrote that into the song but that was just a lie with no real indication. If you aren't religiously following Viv's social media or double checking the wiki after every episode, you'd come away from that line thinking that there was more lore to Hell before Lucifer's fall, but nope. Satan was just kiddin'.

idk, just because it isn't visible doesn't mean none of them have one. Characters in both shows pull stuff out of their clothing all the time, it's just cartoon logic. Also they are varying sizes, the one Barbie uses in Unhappy Campers is tiny and embedded in a wrist watch:

Totally plausible that Verosika or one of the entourage have one in like, a piercing or something.

The whole setup is weird though because it's a total idiot plot. Theoretically all Stolas has to do is go "Yeah, these guys work for me and I gave them the grimoire so they could carry out my orders like the good servants they are." and that would be the end of it. At that point it's Stolas commanding his property to utilize a different piece of his property to do his bidding, right?
I think they should lean in to the buttplug idea because that's the funniest option
Personally I'd make it a bodyhorror implant thing.

Imps using the grimoire at all is illegal. In Full Moon when Stolas gives him the crystal, he specifically states that it is a legal method of travel to Earth, which implies that the grimoire hasn't been this whole time. Especially in the manner they were using it, completely under the table and with no oversight. The crystal is registered in Blitz's name, he's responsible for it, and Asmodeus oversees the use of it.

Stolas: Asmodeus has his demons legally travel to Earth for work all the time. I made the case for you to own one. [He hands the crystal to Blitzo.] You will be technically under his jurisdiction, but you will be able to go anywhere you want in the human realm without fear of consequence. [He puts his grimoire back on the shelf.] Without breaking demon law. You no longer need my grimoire.

Edit:

Andrealphus and Stella's dialogue in Mastermind also supports this:
Stella: Yes, I believe he finally learnt that that filthy little beast was only using him to gain access to his grimoire.

Andrealphus: D-D-N-No, wait, wait, wait, wait! Stolas was letting an imp use his Goetia-given grimoire, and you didn't tell me?
Andrealphus: And this whole time, you knew about the incredibly illegal thing he was doing and you didn't THINK IT MIGHT BE A GOOD IDEA TO LET ME KNOW?!?

See, a competent writer could have used this as just a further way for Stolas to blackmail and extort Blitzo. "If you fuck up or displease me then your theft of my grimoire becomes public knowledge". There's enough stratification in Hellish society that they will take Stolas' word over Blitzo's. And the crystal could be the same thing "Blitzo, I made a deal with Satan that you will repay me by working for me, seems fair. Here's a crystal, but if you or your little misfit friends displease me it'll be the infernal pits for you for all eternity, I own you now."

It's a shame that this show is so horribly written or I might actually watch it.

???

I'll be honest, I think you've misunderstood (or haven't watched) the entire second half of S2 if you think this is remotely plausible for the story, lol.

The entire point of the crystal and The Full Moon episode as a whole is that Stolas feels bad about essentially being a sexual predator. He's been holding the grimoire over Blitz and using him for sex, and comes to realize how fucked up that is and no longer wants to do it. Yes, Blitz has always consented to their sex, but it is still a wildly unbalanced power dynamic. Hence the crystal: Stolas has no power over it. The obligation for Blitz to meet (and fuck) him is now gone, because he can run IMP independently and no longer needs anything at all from Stolas.

Basically, it took a couple months but post-nut clarity finally hit and he felt gross. The whole "Stolas is evil and actively abusing Blitz" was only in the pilot, which is no longer canon anyway.

Oh yeah that guy... It's the same dude that won the "homecoming queen" at his high school. A lot of women in his tiktok comments keep saying he looks like angel dust because he is blonde and effeminate, but I like to imagine it's because they imply angel dust has aids and it's fucking hilarious.
Finally, a musical number I can enjoy.

Guys, the whole point I was making originally was that the whole asmodeus crystal thing was never a thing originally until the writers pulled it out of their asses for season 2 because they wanted an easy out for Stolas to have with the whole sexual transaction thing. The fact that it was never mentioned or shown in season 1 is proof enough for that.

Having it now just brings up the big question of why Blitzø never tried to get his hands on one in the first place. And don't say because he is stupid. I am so tired of people excusing major plot holes in the show with that mention that the characters are dumbasses. It's just lazy writing.

He couldn't.

Asmodeus: Well, I was stuck with Stolas the whole time, who, by the way, asked me, to give him one of my crystals, as a gift for that guy you hate! So! I told him... "NO!" Mhmm!

Fizzarolli: Meh... Fuck it. Let him have it.

Asmodeus: Excuse me?

Fizzarolli: Yeah, why not? You could say... he earned it.

Asmodeus: Alright then...

Dialogue from Oops. Asmodeus shot it down, and definitely would have shot it down even harder if Blitz came alone for it. Fizz despised Blitz until the events of Oops where they kinda-sorta made up. Also explains why Barbie could get one; very likely her and Fizz remained close after the circus fire and bonded over their mutual hatred of Blitz.

To be fair the question is more why imps using the book is super illegal but the crystals are fine and also why apparently Asmodeus is somehow the only person in hell that has a non illegal way of transporting lower demons to earth to the point that letting yourself get fucked by some rich guy to have access to some grimoire that will probably get yourself executed if the higher ups find out about you using it is somehow the only other option.

I could give some autistic speculation on why using existing lore, but I'll look like a sped effort posting about a gay demon cartoon so instead:

It just isn't something that has been explicitly defined yet. We know that imps using a Goetian grimoire is illegal, and we know that Asmodeus has a specific section of laws that apply just to him that allows him to send lowborn to Earth. Why those laws were made, we don't know outside of trying to speculate based on other lore.

I mean the start of the discussion was more about Viv having the story insufficiently fleshed out in advance, which is probably true considering what we know about her.
