I saw someone bring up God, The Devil and Bob in this thread in relation to Hazbin and I wanted to talk about something that happened in the former that I don't believe has been explored in the latter and may never be.

In the episode "Bob's Father", when Bob's father dies Bob is upset when he finds out that he actually went to Heaven instead of Hell, since he was abusive to Bob his entire life. He has a heart-to-heart with God about it and it went something like this:
  1. God tells Bob that ultimately he's not required to forgive his father for what he did - in fact He tells him that he's right to be mad at his father for the way he treated him.
  2. God says that ultimate forgiveness is His job. He tells Bob about his grandfather, who was ultimately more abusive to Bob's dad than he ever was to him. Bob rightfully points out that it didn't justify anything his father did to him, so God frames it differently. What God told him was that his father did his best to "pass down a softer punch", which is to say try to be a better father. But it's likely that the trauma Bob's father experienced warped his views of what was right and what was wrong, so even if what Bob's father was doing was better relative to his father, to Bob it was indeed abusive. What mattered was that God saw that Bob's father was genuinely trying to better himself despite what happened to him, and that doing so proved he was able to enter Heaven.
The concept of "passing down a softer punch" is effective because it ultimately shows a positive domino effect when you try to change your own behavior. You pass down a softer punch to your son, who passes down a softer punch to his son, and eventually the punch is so weak that you can't even feel it. I have the feeling that Vivziepop may want to explore this but is unable to because of the retarded fandom thinking it's glorifying abusers, when it's ultimately about accountability.

I'd also point out, that Bob and his dad actually manage to reconcile in that very episode, though its couched in a hypothetical conversation about hockey.

It was a pretty funny show from the bits I caught. And even though God was a bit of a kook, it was probably one of the more respectful takes from adult animation.

The message of their conversation reminded me of a bit from Mere Christianity when the topic of psychology was discussed.

"The bad psychological material is not a sin but a disease. It does not need to be repented of, but to be cured. And by the way, that is very important. Human beings judge one another by their external actions. God judges them by their moral choices. When a neurotic who has a pathological horror of cats forces himself to pick up a cat for some good reason, it is quite possible that in God's eyes he has shown more courage than a healthy man may have shown in winning the V.C. When a man who has been perverted from his youth and taught that cruelty is the right thing, does some tiny little kindness, or refrains from some cruelty he might have committed, and thereby, perhaps, risks being sneered at by his companions, he may, in God's eyes, be doing more than you and I would do if we gave up life itself for a friend."

From God answering the problem of evil, to finding out that the light you see when you die was because God accidentally left the porch light on one time, and now its so incorporated into how humanity perceives death that he can't bring himself to turn it off, creating a moth problem, the show was pretty fun.

It is very, very good. I guess I judged the show a tad harshly with "not showing Jesus", yet being respectful enough is something to consider.

I would say Viv was being tone-deaf at best.

The moment I saw all the hell characters' sexualities in the pilot days, I didn't really see anything malicious, but I was also taken aback because while Viv may not have been trying to be rude, anyone with some kind of knowledge of conservative and liberal beliefs would see the implications that if you are lgbt and more open about your sexuality and sex habits in a more unconventional manner and you are a demon in hell, then it was because you had sex with men or identified as another sex.



Kind of reminds me of the Leviticus 18:22, that "Man shall not lie with man as a woman" line and the debate surrounding it. Some say it was a ban on all sorts of homosexuality (and yes they banned lesbianism because it was also allowed among some of the pagans making it a pagan practice, which obviously gave the modern Lefties more of a reason to complain), some say it was a ban on anal sex, others say it had something to do with incest, but one I saw online was that it actually meant "MAN SHALL NOT LIE WITH BOY" meaning the relationship between two adult males is tolerable, but pedophilia like pedastry is wrong.


What I have noticed about a lot of homosexual relationships among males back then (since women weren't given lots of attention anyway or the women were hiding because they'd be shunned or killed) is that they usually involved an older guy and a boy usually in a master/teacher x apprentice/student relationship. Like, if the power gap is wide, you are the adult male, and you are penetrating, then it was not gay back then.

Both are valid points.

The song is good, but it fit doesn’t fit the theme of the show. I mean, the show is about Hell, not the power of friendship like MLP.

Plus, the song feels like a series finale song.

There's like two confirmed straight males in both of these shows combined, being Vortex and Wally Wackford. Everyone else is either gay, bi, or pan. And then you have a couple of aces, being Alastor and Mammon; though Mammon did hit on Leviathan, but asexuals can be interested in other people or whatever.

There are some male characters that don't have confirmed sexualities but you can't assume that they are straight because you might be proven wrong later on; like with Viv saying Striker's sexuality will be revealed later or, or Adam's VA saying that Adam is bi.

I really think Viv would've been a better fit as strictly a character/concept designer and work for YouTooz or something where's she's tard wrangled to the MAX. She has some cute designs, and with some tweaking and changing colors, I can see some of her stuff being the next early 2000s mascot merchandise you saw for tweens/teens. But alas...

She doesn't even see the women as sex objects - just "the girl characters" and that's it! Why else are they not making sex jokes and it is only the men and male presenting being sexual?

True. But I don't think she'll take the criticism well considering her history and she will end up leaving.

I like the designs of Octavia and Stella, though, they look simpler yet more notable and also easy to draw. In fact, the more details Viv adds, THE LESS NOTABLE THE CHARACTERS BECOME!


Did Viv even design Via and Stella, though? I am interested.

I have not read Zoophobia, but I have heard it is mostly general audience-friendly (outside the creepy artworks that garnered controversy). There was some potential there.

It is a "safe" fantasy where one man presenting as the "woman" and the other presenting as a "man" have sex and there are no consequences of pregnancy and both "respect" wahmen because they don'thave sex with wahmen, and people like Viv insert themselves in the "woman" role male. A man also has stronger body mass and has better chances of fighting off another man in the event of rape, though the Hazbin Hotel size differences and the presence of magic powers makes me think twice about this statement.

Weird. Anal sex is said to be more unsafe because the anus was never for sex in the first place and penetrating it excessively can cause the sphincter to loosen and risk inconntinence, prolapse, or tearing.


And also, for Viv, only men can do the feminine and masculine things both and look cool. Only men can be cool. Only men can lose and still have an opportunity to be cool.



I did like Nifty's blade powers, though. Could've made her someone who throws blades a lot, too, and added some more kunoichi/shinobi element to her and not just yandere but yeah how can you be a shinobi as a Vivziepop character she will color you red and choose very bright colors for you.
