I'm really hoping that this TV head death is just a metaphor for something, rather than it being an actual thing that happened. It's just so absurd.died either by their own stupidity.
It's really probably a reference to springtrap. Is what I took away from it anyways.I'm really hoping that this TV head death is just a metaphor for something, rather than it being an actual thing that happened. It's just so absurd.
So, apparently, there are 9 circles in the Pride Ring. Pentagram City (where the show Hazbin Hotel takes place) is the first circle. We've seen the second circle in Pride ring being Imp City. What I find really weird is why there aren't sinners in the other circles too.
Another thing I find weird is that the circles correspond to the seven deadly sins instead of the 9 circles in Dante's Divine Comedy.
Though it's not too weird when you remember that Vivzie has almost certainly never read, or even skimmed, the Divine Comedy, to really understand why the 9 circles do not correspond to the seven deadly sins, and why the terraces of Purgatory (kinda) do.
Men with delusions of grandeur die in hilariously stupid ways all the time, it tracks.I'm really hoping that this TV head death is just a metaphor for something, rather than it being an actual thing that happened. It's just so absurd.
It fits with the absurdity of many people dying that were in close proximity to Vox and no one getting the least bit suspicion about him.I'm really hoping that this TV head death is just a metaphor for something, rather than it being an actual thing that happened. It's just so absurd.
I may have said it before, but Vox isn't just the first great villain of this setting but is the first good one. I would have enjoyed Adam more if his behavior was mostly limited to the hellborn and especially sinners, even if he is sadistic about it you could otherwise see how someone like him got into Heaven in the first place. Stella and Striker had good potential and starting ground thanks to S1, but S2 either made them have as much depth as your average saturday morning cartoon villain or reduced them to a joke who lost all his competence and ignored all his motives for doing what he does probably because he made points that you couldn't really argue against and we can't have a villain be right about a few things can we.I'm not gonna lie, Vox was the only likable person in the entire show, it made me change my PFP for the first time in months.
Yeah voice acting and good usage of audio can elevate anything to be good regardless of quality because it gives more humanity to written wordsPeople underestimate that a voice actor can bring a bit more to the table.
Maybe that's why he had to be from the 50s, so it wasn't weird for everyone at a TV station to be dying in freak workplace safety accidents. #moreasbestosIt fits with the absurdity of many people dying that were in close proximity to Vox and no one getting the least bit suspicion about him.
Wait, was Vox's death not a reference to the ending of the movie "Grosse Pointe Blank", where John Cusack's character smashes a big 90's CRT TV over the head of Dan Aykroyd's character (who immediately dies from a combination of blunt force trauma/the tv dramatically electrocuting him)?I'm really hoping that this TV head death is just a metaphor for something, rather than it being an actual thing that happened. ??? but I thought overlord power had something to do with how many sinners' souls were indebt to the overlord? Since Vox still is in charge of his media empire (unless the other V's voted him out between the ending of season 2 & 3) I'd imagine he still holds some sway/power in Hell.Even though he logically should have been killed at the end of season, I can't say I'm not curious of where he goes from here now that's it's implied he's lost his Overlord status since his power is based off his popularity.
I could see helping out for the sole reason of Alastor going full villain arc with him and the hotel doing into the whole 'enemy of my enemy is my friend' thing, though that would have worked better if Alastor was the antagonist of S4 so that would give the chance to put Vox on the backburner for a season after he got the spotlight. Viv did say his defeat has humbled him (because of course she has to spoil most of character arcs before they happen)Vox is in an interesting position as a character cause honestly what he has in season 2 could just be a complete end to him as a character
But Vivzie said he may have an arc still which does make some sense since the character is ironically the closest thing to an evil Charlie.
Whether it's a good idea or not to redeem him is up to execution but he fares better than most of Vivzie's villains on the virtue that he had been used to his full potential whereas other Hellaverse villains (that are recurring) have a lot of wasted potential
I would assume that it's just some special ability Vox has since it would fit with who he is, but like how he was supposed to actually get into Heaven, it's not explained.??? but I thought overlord power had something to do with how many sinners' souls were indebt to the overlord? Wait, don't tell me overlord power levels are something Viviziepop explained in a tweet or podcast & not actually in the episode scripts.

You actually raise an interesting point - does Charlie, as the princess of Hell/daughter of Lucifer, hold any authority or power over the sinners/overlords?...Except Alastor is an overlord because of his deal with Rosie, regardless of souls. And this season, who is technically considered "the most powerful" is apparently determined by... Charlie saying so. Why does her opinion matter at all? Who knows.
Not calling him great but that might turn out to be a plot point since it's a noted mystery, the angels don't know either, and it might turn out to be all about self-forgiveness or something since Adam sure didn't think Adam was an asshole.even if he is sadistic about it you could otherwise see how someone like him got into Heaven in the first place.
I think it was meant to be mass consensus. Vox was already brainwashing the entire population so Charlie's statement being broadcast just supercharged it. Her position as princess does understandably seem to carry a lot of weight in S1, it's only undermined in public opinion through Vox's own media control in S2, so it does kinda make sense. And this season, who is technically considered "the most powerful" is apparently determined by... Anyone else fear the show will end with some dumb twist like Heaven & Hell are basically same. Aside from the exterminations & overlords - Hell depicted in the show doesn't seem all that bad - it's nothing like traditional Christian Hell, where you picture sinners being chained up above lava pits & tortured by demons for eternity. Sinners in the Pride ring (???) have cell phones/tv/fast food/can live a somewhat normal life if they aren't a total degenerate. Not calling him great but that might turn out to be a plot point since it's a noted mystery, the angels don't know either, and it might turn out to be all about self-forgiveness or something since Adam sure didn't think Adam was an asshole.
I don't know if it works since I haven't watched the Boss series but based on Hotel alone I'm not gonna be shocked if it turns out everyone's just an idiot and "hell" is actually purgatory. Like, it's weird you can see heaven from there and even Lucifer doesn't really seem to know the deal. Shit, maybe heaven isn't really heaven. Maybe Nifty is some sort of divine administrator and she's carrying a memo she forgot to tell everyone about.
I now want to eat a deep fried owl.(Helluva Boss if it was good. Yes, second pic above is an actual cooked owl. Happy Thanksgiving everybody)
Apparently it’s like chicken, but more gamey, stringy, and acrid. Damn.I now want to eat a deep fried owl.
