The lesbian song and dance kept the gooners satisfied as they spread the GIFs around.
This has been mentioned numerous times but I cannot get over the irony of Vivziepop wanting tons of fag and dyke representation in HELL.

I’d say she’s aware of what she’s doing, but that would require a level of hilarity and nuance she lacks.

It is pretty funny and shows just how ass Viv is at developing the ships she actually supports (though Baxter and Niffty are an exception). Even with how little Alastor and Charlie interacted this season, fans still got a few bones unintentionally tossed their way. Not to mention Chaggie continues to be as flavorful as raw chicken.
I'm not a Charlastor fan (...I don't understand any of his het ships, to be honest. He's a stereotypical prissy gay twink? Even if Alastor wasn't asexual, he wouldn't want anything to do with pussy) but it was definitely strange how terrible Viv has been at developing the canonical ships. As well as just not adequately explaining character relationships in general. Like to how any viewer who hasn't seen Viviepop's Twitter loredumps, Alastor just seems like Vox's haughty asshole ex boyfriend/Alastor & Vox's rivalry comes across as contentious exes having a pissing content.

& this scene from season 2:

If they weren't meant to be viewed as a former couple, than both the storyboard artists & the writers fumbled the bag.

On a completely different topic: Is Hellavah Boss necessary viewing for Hazbin Hotel (lore wise)? I haven't watched it beyond its pilot episode. Is it good? I thought the character Blitz seemed too much like a more annoying Roger from American Dad, so I never watched it any further. Is his character less annoying in the main series when compared to the pilot?

Fire and Brimstone Preachers, and LGBTQ Wo/Man-Children can finally come together in common cause.

Way to bring everyone together Viv!

Anyone else convinced season 3 will kill off Vaggie? It's obvious Viviepop has no idea what to do with the character post Exorcist-saga/now that Hell & Heaven's relationship have been normalized.
No. I think Viv is probably one of those people who would pearl clutch about the trope of "burying your gays" so there's no way an open lesbian is going to suffer in any meaningful way.

I can’t believe the fans actually LIKED that lazy shit! It felt like it was directed by an old conservative man who was desperately trying to make it ‘’’not gay’’’ as possible! Or at least someone who has no attraction to women.

It was just so.. odd. While I was watching that scene, I just kept thinking; “this is the tamest, lamest and most uncreative ‘sex’ scene I’ve ever watched”. Because I know if they were both male they’d be screeching about how much they love sucking each other’s cocks every 10 seconds, and I’m positive that Vivienne would want their intimacy sequences to be as graphic as Amazon would allow.

Charlotte and Bugina truly just have the blandest relationship in all of fiction. I’m convinced that if Vaggie’s colour scheme wasn’t so different from the rest of the cast; she’d simply fade into the background and the majority of the audience would forget she exists.

At the moment, HB and HH aren’t very connected, though there is a crossover coming at some point in the future iirc. The first season is fine for the most part. Season 2 takes a downhill plummet thanks to that bitch ass owl man, Stolas. Turned into a weepy ultra faggot who cries over his boytoy not loving him when basically everything up to that point has been about sex and Blitz having to fuck him to keep his business.
Even if I was being generous, I fail to see what they even like about each other. If you ask me, I think Stolas is just in love with the idea of being in love and tied that with his imp fetish. I might not have as much of a problem if the show acknowledged how he’s hurting everyone around him (ESPECIALLY his daughter), but no, it’s true love guiz because Viv is a yaoi tard.

If Lute is the main villain of season 3, I can see her sneaking down to Hell & murdering overlords & anyone else she deems a threat to heaven.
I think Lute grooming Abel to be more like Adam now that she sees his chud potential would certainly give more opportunities to explore her character beyond just "crazy bitch" compared to her just fucking around with Hell for the lolz.

It's fairly clear that the only person she ever opened herself up to even slightly was Adam, and even then she couldn't bring herself to tell him she loved him before he died in her arms. I think that's interesting.

But the majority of the cast falls somewhere on the LGBTQ+ rainbow, so that certainly puts a damper on the threat-level of any future villains.

& as a lesbian⭐, I find Vaggie's character to be boring af and wouldn't be offended if she got offed. That would be a "poor personal choices issue", since Vaggie chose to date the literal daughter of Satan, and should have been aware of all the danger that comes along with that...

Her bootleg plushie actually looks like a generic background character from practically any 2010's animated show:

Making a wealthy man fall in love with him for a business opportunity, and not giving af when the man becomes depressed/crashes his life/ruins his marriage/emotionally damages his kids, sure sounds like something Roger from American Dad would do.

Not particularly. You learn a lot more about the universe in general (such as the other sins, the other rings, how hellborn work, etc), but none of that is relevant to Hazbin because it takes place exclusively in Pride and deals with only sinners. Basically, if you like general world building, yes, Helluva has a ton of that. If you exclusively want more info on the Hotel or Hazbin characters, no, there's nothing.

A couple of months ago it was revealed that there will, at some point, be a cross over, but what, when, or how significant it will be was not mentioned.

Is it good? I thought the character Blitz seemed too much like a more annoying Roger from American Dad, so I never watched it any further. Is his character less annoying in the main series when compared to the pilot?
The pilot was completely replaced explicitly because the characters changed so much. The original pilot is now considered non-canon and the series starts with Mission: Zero instead. If you disliked the original pilot that's good, because it is totally different now.

As for "is it good", I personally like it more than Hazbin but it is very contentious. A lot of people don't like it (especially here) because the later parts of S2 focus heavily on a gay romance (Blitzo/Stolas) rather than I.M.P.'s assassination business.

It isn't like, amazing, but the songs are catchy, I thought the story was interesting enough, and IMO it is worth a casual watch.

I actually had a character in a project I was working on that was similar to Angel, the main difference being that he was 19 so his lack of life experience was understandable.

I think Angel was supposed to have died around 30? Maybe just in the 30s and I am mistaken, because he reads as college age at the oldest.
Thats so funny I also added that into a possible client to redeem. It is so odd how they baby and coddled grown people of angle was in his teens to 20's thats understandable but +30? Nah he knew what he was doing.

Huh I don't think I've heard of him, I wonder what he's like...
Haft is best known as the lead singer of the music act group The Living Tombstone.
Oh, so an old brony musician, that's a little weird but I bet there's nothing nefarious here...
Sam Haft is Jewish and was kept kosher until he was 16. He is also the great-grandson of a rabbi

So with all the queers, shipping, and "creator active on Twitter" -going on, is the Hazbin fandom extremely contentious? 'cause weirdly from what I've seen (mind you, only on the 'farms and Reddit) it seems relatively tame?

I think Lute grooming Abel to be more like Adam now that she sees his chud potential would certainly give more opportunities to explore her character beyond just "crazy bitch" compared to her just fucking around with Hell for the lolz.
I wouldn't call her exacting revenge on Hell "for the lulz", considering she loved Adam (were they involved or was it a one sided thing? Adam was written like a frat bro so I just assumed Lute screwed her at some point..) Lute clearly seems pissed Adam's death hasn't gotten any justice/that the Heaven higher ups are now being nice with hell.

What I find really weird is why there aren't sinners in the other circles too.

Another thing I find weird is that the circles correspond to the seven deadly sins instead of the 9 circles in Dante's Divine Comedy.

Though it's not too weird when you remember that Vivzie has almost certainly never read, or even skimmed, the Divine Comedy, to really understand why the 9 circles do not correspond to the seven deadly sins, and why the terraces of Purgatory (kinda) do.

What would he have done with himself if he wasn't just being a woobie?
I actually think the show makes it pretty clear that all he does when left to his own devices is get high. That is one point on which Viv's writing has been good.
there seemed to be a lot of random Alastor/Charlie bait tossed into season 2
Viv just doesn't know what a healthy mentor/protégé OR father/daughter relationship looks like.

Apparently this single tweet has made a bunch of people upset arguing wether steven would forgive vox or fight him which in turn evolved into powerscalers saying steven would stomp and artists doing ironic (?) "powerlevel agenda" redraw memes of Steven killing Vox and Alastor.

Alastor & Vox's rivalry comes across as contentious exes having a pissing content.
Whoever wrote the Alastor&Vox backstory, specifically the scene at the dive bar, did a good job at portraying "showbiz mentorship ruined by a groupie" situation that happens in the real world entertainment industry all the time.
They show and don't tell us about the bigger/more important guy wanting to uplift one of his simps who he fucked once, and the simp thinking their advice-giver and professional development buddy of many years was building things up to a real relationship.
Vox says all this in public and then loses the respect of a much more successful man who is disappointed to see someone he thought was going to be a professional success turn out to be a weird whore that wants to marry him.
I was really impressed with the bad guy's development this season and agree with the posters saying that under Viv's 2008 time travel goth sex party, is a very interesting anime about a dead cult leader going from Bartleby the Scrivener in life to Louis the Vampire in death while also taking over Hell with a 24-hour news channel. He's even got a heaven counterpart in future fallen paladin Lute, whose song this season maps out exactly how and why she's going to end up a sinner in hell as a fallen angel.
Someone in the writer's room this season is absolute Flex Tape and is patching some really great tiny scenes onto the Disenchantment-tier scattered shitshow that is the overarching plotline.

Yeah but she also fucking hates dykes.
Honestly, Vaggie would be a great character just as she is, if she was Charlie's grounded, rational management partner and best friend while Charlie is the idea-man, razzle-dazzle "face of the brand". You know, just like with ANY hotel, nightclub, or restaurant.
& as a lesbian ⭐

I doubt Viv even read the Bible/Biblical apocrypha that pertains to angels. Heck, I actually get the feeling she doesn't like angels all that much, hence why she wrote them all as being mentally retarded.

For a show written by an ally, it's funny how based Hazbin's writing is - all the gays are in Hell, the genderspecials are hypersexual crackheads, the most powerful demon in hell is literally a virgin.

Now that you mention it, this show does have Disenchantment-vibes 🤔

Just wanted to touch on the “ruins his marriage” part. The writers went and made his wife, Stella, a one dimensional bitch and poor representation of an abuser to try and justify him cheating. And the fans fall for it. “But Stella was gonna slap Stolas!” Boo hoo, he slaughtered a bunch of federal agents single handedly and can turn people to stone, and has way more power than her at least at the time. “But she SA’d him!” No, they were required to have at least one heir, so she went on about having to put in all the work and was glad to finally have an egg so that wouldn’t have to happen again. “She called a hitman on him!” That’s probably the worst thing she’s done, but honestly I ran out of sympathy for Stolas ages ago.

I've never really understood that either. Why even have the other rings? Why have hellborn exist at all? Heaven created Hell for Lucifer/Lilith so why does any of that exist?

The whole point of Hell was to punish Lucifer. The evil souls he caused get sent down there and he's not allowed to see the good that comes from humanity, only the evil. Okay, fine, so why are there six other fucking layers of Hell that have nothing to do with that?

The opposite has always annoyed me too: why aren't there imps in Hazbin? The entire point of them is that they are a lower, subservient class meant to fill menial roles but they never appear in Hazbin, only in Helluva. The opening song had one imp and he was just torturing a soul for no reason and that's the only appearance to my knowledge.
