the art and animation is a massive reason i initially got invested in this series back when the pilot came out. people hate it but i think its great. better than most western animation.I'm just here for the animation at this point.
Say what you want about Viv and co. But the animation and even her style at least was a breath of fresh air compared to the rigged, puppet, bean mouth slop that was everywhere when the pilot was posted. At least angel and husk look like someone went through the effort of designing a femboy spider and an angry cat man without changing a few lines on the head and body and said it was two new characters.the art and animation is a massive reason i initially got invested in this series back when the pilot came out. people hate it but i think its great. better than most western animation.
im not deep enough in the fandom to see any sora hazbin videos. i dont think i want to either.Say what you want about Viv and co. One day it's bean mouth calarts slop getting flack for looking like it took no effort to design the characters or animate them on low frames. The next it's generative ai making...well of you've seem the horrible hazbin remade in sora and 3D animated you know.
I legit almost forgave everything this series ever did after seeing THAT circle of hell.

Occasionally, when the joke doesn't devolve into 'Swearing=Funny', the show can manage to be funny, which makes it more frustrating really.Which only makes the whole thing even more frustrating, because it's combined with dogshit writing and dialogue that only a middle schooler could find funny.
for some reason the animation for this song really stood out to me on first watch and on further watches i still think it stands out.
i dont remember that one. ill have to rewatch it!Velvette's song in S1, "Respectless," is like that for me. Her animation specifically is really fluid and pleasing to the eye. It helps the song is pretty good, too.

It was pretty fun.

Even though it has the same problem that a lot of other S1 songs have - it doesn't actually move the plot forward, and focuses on the character dynamics of characters that aren't even relevant to the main story.
watching this back gave me a great idea for a pfp/banner.It was pretty fun.

I remember watching this and a lyric being "hashtag" immediately killed it for me.
I found him incredibly endearing compared to the rest of the cast.and a gargantuan improvement over Adam as an antagonist, who was simply one of the worst written and most irritating characters I have ever seen in any medium.

Watching this show must've been like Alex being treated in Clockwork Orange for you, then.I am easily triggered by bad writers who rely on unimaginative and repetitive use of profanity.
Profanity itself doesn't bother me a whit; dropping f-bombs left and right and making crude sexual jokes for no very good reason is just eye-rolling. It's like dealing with some 13 year old who just had his first run in with a book of dirty jokes last week.
