Cherri Bomb needs to go to heaven, so that she and Pentious can start waging war on each other again, pissing off all the angels.
The thought of that amuses me.

the art and animation is a massive reason i initially got invested in this series back when the pilot came out. people hate it but i think its great. better than most western animation.
Say what you want about Viv and co. But the animation and even her style at least was a breath of fresh air compared to the rigged, puppet, bean mouth slop that was everywhere when the pilot was posted. At least angel and husk look like someone went through the effort of designing a femboy spider and an angry cat man without changing a few lines on the head and body and said it was two new characters.

One day it's bean mouth calarts slop getting flack for looking like it took no effort to design the characters or animate them on low frames. The next it's generative ai making...well if you've seen the horrible hazbin remade in sora and 3D animated you know.

I legit almost forgave everything this series ever did after seeing THAT circle of hell.

I know 4chan has been speculating that Val might want to be redeemed, because of a hand that looks like his reaching out to Heaven and him singing in the last song. I don't know if that would ever happen but...

im not deep enough in the fandom to see any sora hazbin videos. i dont think i want to either.

bigmouth has to be the worst the west has ever animated. Generally the bean mouth shit pisses me off. Like i can enjoy a show with art i dont like (rick and morty season 1) but if i can avoid it i will.

Avatar the last airbender was really good in terms of animation. I know its just ripping off anime but its better than beanmouth.

id like to point out this specific scene from season 2. just a short clip of it but you know the scene.

ill include a second clip

for some reason the animation for this song really stood out to me on first watch and on further watches i still think it stands out.

people moan and bitch about "same body syndrome" but every character is extremely unique. Viv's art is a pain in the ass to animate according to what ive heard.

Which only makes the whole thing even more frustrating, because it's combined with dogshit writing and dialogue that only a middle schooler could find funny.

Velvette's song in S1, "Respectless," is like that for me. Her animation specifically is really fluid and pleasing to the eye. It helps the song is pretty good, too.

i dont remember that one. ill have to rewatch it!
It was pretty fun.

Even though it has the same problem that a lot of other S1 songs have - it doesn't actually move the plot forward, and focuses on the character dynamics of characters that aren't even relevant to the main story.

It does establish that ... uh ... the weapon lady Overlord already knows about angelic weapons, and it sets up the V's and their antagonism toward the more established Overlords, but it's also a bit of an "I am" song, which is perfectly acceptable with better pacing.

watching this back gave me a great idea for a pfp/banner.

I remember watching this and a lyric being "hashtag" immediately killed it for me.

"Bae, I'm not swipin' right" was a soul-killing lyric. Anything I like in this show I tend to enjoy despite myself.

Velvette is not a bad character, but basing her on social media is a terrible idea, because all of it is inherently disposable. I'm not sure hashtags are even used much anymore, and it really hasn't been that long since S1.

I found him incredibly endearing compared to the rest of the cast.

I am easily triggered by bad writers who rely on unimaginative and repetitive use of profanity.

Profanity itself doesn't bother me a whit; dropping f-bombs left and right and making crude sexual jokes for no very good reason is just eye-rolling. It's like dealing with some 13 year old who just had his first run in with a book of dirty jokes last week.

Watching this show must've been like Alex being treated in Clockwork Orange for you, then.

I think the art direction of Hazbin Hotel (and also Helluva Boss, though this discussion is more on HH'S character designs) is hit or miss. Like if you take a look at the background Sinners, you can tell the people who designed them were getting really creative with them.

Compared to the main cast, there is a drastic difference in detail. Which is usually the opposite in animated shows (with the main characters having more details and a range in color pallete so they pop out more from the background characters.) Also funny enough, the females in the main cast are all human-like. Which with a place like Hell and all the other Sinners having variety with them, you think at least one of the main female characters would look otherworldly. But no.
