Vox's plans only work because characters are either stupid (Charlie, Heaven) or nerfed (Lucifer).
The stupidity part is so egregious that even most of the show's fans seem to be calling this season out for this, and the only criticism they generally agreed on for S1 was that it's pacing was a train wreck, even then they usually blamed A24/Amazon instead of Viv not keeping the scope in check.

It's not even that the protagonists have to be stupid for Vox to get his constant string of Ws, because for the first 5 episodes his plan is basically all about public relations, which as a former cult leader with hypnotic powers is something he excels at. Regardless of how Heaven handled their apology, he can still reasonably frame it as them only being sorry that the power balance has turned even if he wasn't a great speaker, and I don't even have much of an issue of Charlie jumping the gun and inviting the media over once she found out Pentious got redeemed, (Not out of total naivety, but because deep down she wanted this to be an "I told you so!" moment, a legitimate character flaw that doesn't make her out to be stupid). but she should have wised up fairly quickly yet by then most the damage was already done, instead of being an idiot and digging herself deeper the entire episode, then doing the same mistake again in the next one by doing an interview with Katie.

And for some reason her mother made her a kid's book that features the exterminations, as if they've always been happening, despite them only having been a thing for the last seven years. Curious!
Yeah, that’s another thing…

How much did Lucifer and Lilith shelter that girl? She’s a grown ass woman and yet, she likes a teenager still in high school.

A video to goes into how both shows went away from their premises, and why that's a big issue for Hazbin Hotel.
Personally I still maintain that Helluva Boss handled this worse than Hazbin since Hazbin never once sold itself as a episodic show about redeeming sinners

And the war overall is to diffuse tensions to justify the hotel's existence to both Heaven and Hell

Helluva had episodes that were about hit jobs and promised to be an episodic comedy but became a melodramatic romance mostly revolving around the most insufferable character I've ever seen in an animated show as of late and no just because a romance is established early on doesn't make the show a romance.

It’s true, Charlie is older than most sinners and Hellborn. She’s over two hundred years old.
I thought she was like 19 since the flashback between her and Lucifer framed Lilith leaving as the last time Charlie saw her

I think with Charlie and Lucifer it at least feels like character flaws are taken into account but Heaven is beyond stupid between bringing Lute (who is very outspoken of her hatred of demons), going along with Emily's gift basket idea (Sera should probably know better since Emily is very sheltered), and refusing to show redemption is possible (like if it's to keep it a secret, it already failed since Charlie planted the idea of Pentious being alive to the population).

If you consider the idea that Charlie is Vivzie's self insert, and Vivzie herself is an overgrown womanchild who acts like a teenager still in high school...
True, but from an in-universe standpoint what's the deal?

She's basically hell's biggest nepo baby so her being hyper-sheltered would make sense, but she seems almost completely desensitized to violence and brutality, to the point she seems to not really understand why people are in hell to begin with.

You got a point there.

Nope, Charlie is over 200 years old.

Charlie looks like she is in her 20s, ‘biologically’, that is. In a stream, Vivziepop stated that demons age in "hell years". Meaning demons age differently from humans in the Hellaverse.

There’s even a picture of a portrait of Charlie and her parents that was taken in 1871, that was featured in the Hazbin Hotel pilot.

Granted, since this was said back in the pilot days, it could not be canon anymore to the actual show. But if it still is, that does mean that Charlie is older than Stolas...

I don't know. The whole "Charlie is sheletered" excuse seems to fall apart when you think on it for more than 1 minute. It doesn't seem like Charlie was barred from going anywhere in Pride and interacting with the Sinners. Plus while Lucifer despised Sinners, Lilith was supposedly the opposite and was in support for them. Hence why Charlie is more in line with her mom's belief.

Then again, if the writing of this show is going for the whole "Eve is pretending to be Lilith", Charlie may not have been raised by her mom for the majority of her life. Cause in the flashback with Charlie as a child, the Lilith that is taking Charlie away from Lucifer has her hair styled more like Eve's instead of how it usually is.

Which then means that Eve was the one to empower Sinners.

Got through the episodes of the season so far. (On the high seas of course) this show is a double edged sword in every sense of the word. When I'm watching it as background nosie to other stuff it's ok and at times there are things I like following along with, But the baggage surrounding it's deeper lore and especially it's creator? It's not a total deal breaker but man does it make it hard to see this as anything EXCEPT background noise to have on one screen while the other plays something else.

So... she was born a few years before the Napoleonic Wars? I thought she was older. Huh. Guess Viviane will retcon that next season to say she's exactly 30 or some shit.
Oh my god Vox is Gavin Newsom⁉️
I thought I knew who it was, but it wasn't clicking! Of course, a fucking asshole of a person but with a "Justin Castro" appearance that women would fawn over!

You think everything is some big masterplan from her inorder to destroy Lucifer? I mean she genuine has a legitimate reason to hate him, because he is the reason why she and Adam was cast out of paradise. Even though the show will find a way to blame it on Adam, because Lucifer is just missunderstood and a ✨dreamer✨.
