Becuase here's the thing: Hellspawn are like your dog, they won't go to heaven nor hell when they die
Bullshit. Everyone knows all dogs go to heaven. Cats too.

It would be a pretty shitty Vivziepop version of heaven without cats or dogs. What the fuck are you supposed to do in such a heaven, spend literally all eternity going WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOD IS SO GREEEEEEEEEEEEEAT?

The songs are a matter of taste, but we're halfway through the season, and by that point in S1 there had been at least a couple that were memorable and fun. So far the only one in S2 that qualifies is "Gravity," and that one's undercut by what an absolutely awful character Adam was -- why would anyone get this worked up over that piece of shit getting killed? It's not an issue of "If you hated him that means he was a good villain" -- he was simply obnoxious, badly written, and a sign of terrible worldbuilding. The first human is destroyed by the forces of Hell, and his creator has ... nothing to say about it? Really?
Hazbin Hotel has always been weak as a musical since a lot of the songs feel unearned. For the pilot, each song that was sung felt right and natural in it's placement. It made sense for why a character was singing at thay moment.

For the actual show in both season 1 and 2, a lot of the songs come across as "well we need a song now because we have to fit are quota of having two to three musical numbers per episode, even if the song is not necessary for this scene or might even take away time for chatacter or plot development in the very limited time that we have."

As that one saying goes:
"The time to sing is when your emotional level is just too high to speak anymore, and the time to dance is when your emotions are just too strong to only sing about how you feel."

God, this is one of the most retarded things I’ve ever seen. A lot of the quotes are saying “lmao like all the rapists and murderers deserve any apology”, and others are like “genocide is bad, Stacy.” Or just dunking on Christians.
And let's not forget that Carmilla is also mass producing and selling angelic weapons to the other sinners. The people of Hell are kind of also contributing to this genocide.

But Vivzie’s heaven does have cats and dogs! In the form of furries that people tend to turn into when they ascend, or descend…truly a fate worse than death.

I don't know if anyone has made this observation already, but while Hazbin Hotel is a dreadful depiction of Heaven and Hell, it's ... actually a pretty spot-on, if lighthearted and satirical, take on the Underworld from Wraith: The Oblivion, including the fact that wraiths can be shaped into profoundly inhuman forms or see their souls become part of the landscape (but, of course, lacking the unfinished business in and occasional excursions to the world of the living).

I know a lot of us are frustrated with Vivzie not giving any serious thought to the concept of redemption. And her choice to not do so makes sense when you realize this is the type of audience she's courting.

"Slowly, I began to hate them..."

Viziepop's knowledge of heaven/hell is so basic I wouldn't be surprised if I was told it all comes from a show like American dad, and in that case there's one episode where the priest says animals don't go to heaven.

No, it's "WOOOOOOOO BEING IN HEAVEN IS GREEEEEAT", someone is too much of a coward to mention the Big guy himself.

It's not that this is the audience she's courting, it's more that this is the kind of people she's a part of.

The problem with vivziepop's hell is that it's a sinners paradise. Nobody wants to be redeemed because they all fucking love being evil douchebags and hell is basically a big fucking playground to them.

One of the absolute dumbest moments was the shock! over Angel Dust being in Hell because he murdered his own father. It's literally Hell, every third or fourth soul is probably a fucking murderer; our main character is the daughter of Lucifer Morningstar himself, murder should be par for the course for these creatures.

You can't make Hell fun and cuddly and expect it to be taken seriously.

Especially since you know they're going to make his murder at least semi-justified. So many fangirls are already saying he only did it to save his sister or boyfriend or some shit.

Can I just say vivziepop is 2 for 2 (4?) on making the antagonists infinitely more likable and interesting than the protagonists?

Found this. Supposedly it's a leaked script for Season 4. So not only Izzi's going to appear in the show, but is actually going to interact with the cast.

I'm on the fence of this being legit given the track record, and the fact this aligns to a piece of fanart Viv liked on Bluesky. Said fanart depicts Cherri asking Niffty if something boy related happened to her to which she sheepishly replied with "a lucky guess" when Niffty affirms and questions how Cherri knew.

Are we supposed to take Pentious's presence to mean he returned to Hell?

If so, wow, way to undercut the whole point of the show there, Vivzie.

I half wonder if one reason for retconning the Exterminations to have only started 7 years ago was to make Adam and Lute/The Exorcists less sympathetic and seem more like homicidal psychos that have always wanted to kill people for fun, rather than people who have been taking on a grueling and soul-crushing but necessary burden for millenia and have become so desensitized they made sport out of it as a way to cope.

If this is real, it confirms Pentious either falls again (lame), or is allowed to go between Heaven and Hell whenever he pleases (less lame, but still a copout).

I'd say it's meant to make Sera more sympathetic, if anything. Now, rather than having ordered Exerminations for thousands of years, she was pressured into doing so only recently in response to some shit Lilith did.

Can I also add how stupid it is that Vox acts like Angel being a murderer is a big deal given it's all but explicitly said that Vaggie being a former Exorcist is public knowledge, with her showing off her obviously angelic wings in public and this being on one of the news segments?

Although like others have said, Angel's big sin being the murder of his father is simply so the show can treat him as a victim later on, instead of the more interesting route of him being a prolific triggerman or at the very least someone who willingly helped cover murders up by being the guy in charge of taking care of the body.

I mean, we've seen through his actions that he's perfectly fine with gunning people down, even enjoying it, so it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that's what he did in life too. But I guess that's gonna be another retcon because we can't have our sinners in Hell actually be people who did really horrible things.

I say it's very 50/50, biggest red flag for me is how much focus it gives on the finale of S1 with Izzi's and Pentious' lines when this is supposedly almost halfway through the fourth season. Although 'developing' a female character who's mainly tied to their male love interest only for it to focus on their background with another man sounds very Viv.

Viziepop: Faggot spider is in hell for killing his father and absolutely not for embracing the self-destructive and hedonist enviroment that gay prostitution.

Smiling friends: OH, I cursed and said "Damn" in 1958 when I saw your grandfather being shot in the head by that ROTTEN burglar

What were Adam and Lute doing all this time? Ever since he died, I mean?

Who knows? Adam was probably some kind of rock star celebrity already based on what we've seen (what with that story he told Charlie and his office being full of records and guitars).

We already know the exterminations were Adam's recommendation to Sera. I bet you we're going to find out that his "deal" with Lilith was that he got her into Heaven some how so he could go to Sera and say there was a Hell uprising so he could start the exterminations because he gets off on slaughtering millions of souls because he's an evil psycho douchebag, because God forbid any of our antagonists have any kind of nuance to them.

I figured, Rosie/Lilitranny (Or is it Lilitroon/Eve?) will ruin his character further. If anything, Adam had the chance to be the one true "grey moral" of the story, perhaps Charlie's shadow or even her reflection. A cynic who doesn't believe in redemption for damn good reason (cue that comic again).
