Having a fetish for a specific archetype is one thing but making the same guy 3 times with slight differences is just egregious. Even the normals and teenagers on Twit are starting to notice, so I think the honeymoon period is over.

I feel like a lot of Viv's design problems would be fixed if she just stopped putting them in these fucking 19th century 3-piece suits.

Yeah, Viv isn't very creative when it comes to outfits for male characters. Pretty much all the main male characters of her shows are wearing some type of suit. Especially not one that was common for the time period they were in and location. A quick research would do wonders.

There's also the matter that Alastor would have been alive in the first few years of the Great Depression. So he most likely lost his radio gig and couldn't afford the type of clothing he used to wear.

If Niffty is a Japanese woman who died from the 1950s, I wonder what her opinion was on the Chinese.

Not directly related but it made me think that Alastor didn't even have a choice with which Overlords he targeted, I'm guessing that Rosie/Lilith would be the one calling the shots on whoever she didn't like for whatever reason. Especially with how Alastor broadcasts the screams of his victims, it would make it clear that he took them out, and since nobody else besides Husk and maybe Niffty knows that his soul is owned by someone (and even then, they might not know who owns it), it allows Rosie/Lilith to dispatch people while publicly keeping her hands clean.

I wonder if the series will ever attempt to delve into Niffty's backstory. She seems too insane to even be able to recognize which sin got her sent to Hell, much less have the capacity to repent from it.
She's also the only character who actually seems to like Alastor, likely because she's too crazy to realize that she's being used.

In the hands of better writers, focusing on her insanity would be a good direction to take her character in and raise interesting questions, if Niffty truly is so insane she simply is completely unable to differentiate right from wrong, does she really deserve Hell? It's a similar reason most religions say children get an automatic ticket into Heaven (That and if their parents aren't the 'right religion' then the child is also unable to follow the correct one), and why it was a popular fan theory that because Adam wasn't shown biting into the fruit of Knowledge in the storybook intro (Or free will as the show likes to call it, despite that raising issues with the decision to bite into the apple in the first place and Lilith being able to tell Adam to fuck off) that he never ate it in this version of events and was automatically granted entry into Heaven despite his behavior as a result.

Unfortunately, it's shown children can be put in Hell with that sinner Vaggie spared and that one Helluva Boss short, and Viv also did an interview not too long ago where she said Adam also ate the apple.

This is where the series gets sloppy on whether Cannibals are Sinners or not. Rosie clearly isn't, since she would by default only be able to make Alastor as strong as her if she was, but the fact that all Cannibals have the same doll faces except Alastor, despite him clearly partaking in cannibalism himself, makes it unclear if they're a subset of Sinners or Hellborns who the angels just targeted anyway since they stay put in their ghetto where no one can snitch to Lucifer.

Even then, I don't think Dexter even goes after people just for being assholes (except like.. that one redneck at the start of S5, but he was talking shit about Rita right after she died, plus Dex kinda regretted it immediately afterward)
So really, Alastor just comes across as someone using his perceived oppression as an excuse to brutally kill people that just happen to slighty piss him off. The humiliation arc he's been going through since losing to CHADam is just karmic blowback, he's an unsympathetic piece of shit and I hope Vox fucking lynches him

I'm convinced people who compare him positively to Dexter and Hannibal have never watched their series/films, and definitely didn't read their books (Although I admit I haven't done the later.) Because:
1. Dexter either breaks or attempts to break his own moral code multiple times, from what I remember it's mainly when it comes with dealing with investigators who have their suspicions on him.
2. Hannibal Lecter doesn't have a real moral code, while he does mainly target those who are "Impolite", he also kills two cops guarding him, then kills two medical workers in an ambulance after managing to impersonate one of the cops he killed by cutting off his face, hiding his body, and acting heavily wounded.

But because they're on the surface 'good serial killers', who are on the surface polite and only hurt people who 'deserve it' in some way, they're usually considered an anti-hero/anti-villain, when it's made pretty clear in their actual appearances that their 'codes' are very flexible and they're more than willing to break them if it means saving their ass.
