You know I always found it interesting how Adam never removed his mask, even when he was up in Heaven. I know we discussed this before with our own personal opinions on why way back. It's just a thought I have that probably doesn't have any deeper meaning to it.

Adam's behavior is informed by guilt above all else. The mask as well as his time-period-inappropriate rockstar personality are an attempt to dissociate himself from his sins. His annual purges are also an attempt to rectify his mistakes. He hides his shame with false bravado, and in doing so he is no longer able to form any genuine relationships and estranges himself from his own family. Only in his final moments does he let go of this folly.

Not sure if this was posted here yet, but Viv officially confirmed that the Goetia are Lucifer's creations, and that's why the Speaker of God looks like them because she was an inspiration for Lucifer when creating them.

I recalled Viv state that the Goetia were going to be explored in Hazbin in a Livestream shortly after it got picked up, which honestly, even back then, I was skeptic about that given how large the cast already was at the time to focus on a class that has their place in a spin off show.

Welp, guess the Goetia conspiracy theory can go to the trash, we can't have cool ideas.

That's actually a really interesting way to look at it, and I never thought of it that way. What a shame that Viv 99.999% didn't think of that either, and it just happened to line up this way. Good character analysis, regardless.

Would be a better answer than whatever Viv does(n't) have in mind. The real answer is likely Viv wanted the big reveal of Adam being "just a guy" despite it making no sense. If the exterminations are a secret why does Adam wear a helmet 24/7? Would nobody ask why The First Man wears a helmet all the time, where it came from, or what it's for? Viv didn't think about these things and just pictured the reveal.

Furthermore we never see the other fallen angels in hell. I chalk it up to Viz not knowing about them, but my head cannon is that they are doing their own thing in hell and have abandoned Lucifer once he started to hide away in his home playing with ducks.

The other Deadly Sins could be fallen angels (I believe this is a popular fan theory), but it's likely Vivzie hasn't even thought that far ahead and might asspull them as Lucifer's creations as well.

So I just remembered that apparently an entire month has passed between season 1's finale and season 2's ep 1 and 2.

What the actual fuck is up with this timeline? Why did it take so long for shit to start happening? At most, it feels like a week may have passed; not an entire month. Why did it take an entire month for Pentious to be on trial in Heaven? Why did it take an entire month for Emily to tell Charlie that Pentious was in Heaven? Why did it take an entire month for Sinners to start showing up to the hotel thinking they could kill angels there? Why did it take an entire month for the news stories to begin?

I don't have a clue on why we have to have such a long period of time where nothing happens. It doesn't feel natural with the way the story has been told.

You know what? Good for them. While there are way better shows that have gotten axed without nearly as much network support, I can definitely think of way worse shows that have gotten renewed for way worse reasons. At least its art style is better than the thousands of Family Guy clones the adult animation scene has forced on us.

For all the shit we (rightfully) throw towards Vivzie and her shows, you have to respect that she has a vision a very flawed one but a vision that feels intrinsically personal and not created in a boardroom. Something that I have learned to accept with regards to indie (at least in origin) projects like this is that sometimes you are subject to the whims of the creator, HH is far from the only cartoon series that combines different concepts and ideas in a jumble incohesive way.

Not to say that that makes them criticism immune, but much like say underground comics the roughness is kind of the appeal. The animation industry desperately needs to make baby steps as painful and cringe they may be, and if the existence of the hellaverse is one of them, then we have no option but to hope that artists are silently watching while learning all the right lessons of its success.

Everyone is mentioning how Viv can't draw outside of 3 basic character designs, but I'd like to bring up another sign of her creative bankruptcy. Why is it that every character draws/doodles the exact same way?

I didn't pull out every instance of this because I can't be fucked to actually go through the entire series again. I just use blitz and vox as a quick example because I swear, it's the exact same. Charlie also has the same style in her elevator pitch of redemption in the meeting with CHADam. The only time we don't see someone doodle like this is Valentino making faggot fanart of Vox.

I don't know why but this is something that makes me hate this show the most. It's lazy and "quirky".
