For as much as "Gravity" has been talked up, the way the Speaker hits the word "Cross" on this line is legit probably the best singing performance in the series so far.
 
I watched the first 2 episodes of season 2.
My thoughts?
- Angel Dust and the "ooh daddy" line needs to stop. Go back in time to the first time he says it, then never use it again. It's gone past cringe into seriously irritating.
- The songs weren't as suddenly thrown in our faces as before. I appreciate that.
- The "I killed my wife" guy? It was amusing BUT they didn't follow Comedy's Rule Of Three and kept going with it. Mistake.
- St Peter is just the guy who watches the door? Do the writers even know who St Peter was? Nevermind. I'm going to tell myself that this is Peter in retirement and he's turned his brain off.
- We've seen Abel but where are Cain and Seth? Do I care...nah.
- Too much name change shit. Pandering to a certain demographic known for that sort of thing? First Vaggie and then when what's-her-face called Sir Pentious "Pendleton" he said he doesn't go by that name anymore. Small things but if you know you know, and I hate that I do.

I was raised Baptist and these assholes do far too much dancing to ever belong in Heaven.

The people writing this show don't even understand what made it funny in the first place. It's not because Angel Dust said 'daddy'. It's what happens after he said it when Sir Pentious went "son" in response. And Angel Dust being confused afterwards.
I'm going to take a wild guess and state that Viv didn't even come up with this joke and it was one of the other writers or Kendraws that did.
 
Why the hell was Vivs trying to make everyone think that the alien looking faggot pimp was hot on twitter? I just don't get it because even trannies were hopping on that app and shitting on the design and calling it ugly.
I feel as though the entire plot regarding Heaven is probably incomplete and that is because Vivs is unable to plan ahead as a writer and doesn't know how she is supposed to write God into the story short of doing the laziest possible move and pulling a "God doesn't exist anymore and it's just the high up angels lying".

Really hope not, she s doing such a lousy job with these already (also considered she won't much likely include anyway the main cast of the big three of the Christian realm, aside that weird bird rendering of the Holy Spirit/Ghost).
I have fatigue already at how shitty and lazy are their character designs with the Heaven s people, personally I would rather skip seeing more annoying twinks in a suit for the time being, thanks.

TRVTH NVKE. The speaker of god being (another) triangle beck "owl/bird" type is proof of that, I don't know why Viv can only draw 3 types of races: Humanoid demons (humans are just demons without the demonic features), furries and birds, all with twinks bodies (male) or tits and thighs (female).

And the whole "b-b-b-but lucifer just made the goetias inspired by the speaker of god hahaha" is just another Viv's excuse she pulled out of her ass to justify her lack of artistic abilities and it made the world building even more dumber and unironically homophobic, if Lucifer created the Goetias, why are they all effeminate drama queen homos? What did Viv mean by this?
Think about it, if Stolas was straight, Helluva Boss would be better, Lucifer ruined Helluva Boss.

Yesterday I had... Downloaded the remake of OFF and I just realized that most character there have religion-related names, and the design are just as intimidating as they are demonic.

This shit was drawn in 2008 and still gives a better idea of how a fucking demon should look like,
I'm not gonna post the pictures there, but the other 2 character do also gives a better idea of how demonic/angelic figures should look like.
Not this effemminate garbage that's 70% tumblerslop, 20% furry bait and 10% plagiarized.
Dialogue too is to match. I still think of Enoch from zone 3 uttering "...I like that phrase, like gods..." when explaining how he is actually a good guy despite how disturbing the factory actually is.

He didn't even create all the goetias, since some were born from others. Like Stolas is the son of Paimon here. The episode Mastermind also showed that not every goetia is a bird creature.

She really is just pulling the answer out of her ass because she herself hasn't thought things through. Instead of admitting that she just has a design preference and there's no deeper meaning, she has to come up with a reason that means something to satisfy her fans question becaude she feels they won't accept the answer of "I like drawing birds". But she doesn't seem to realize this is going to open even more questions that she probably doesn't have thr answer to. Like, which ars goetias did Lucifer make? Why did he make the ars goetias in the first place? Since Asmodeus is technically an ars goetia, did Lucifer make him as well? Did he make the other sins? If not, where did they exactly come from?

And again, she couldn't let the ACTUAL show itself let us know this. She had to tell it in some random interview so if you don't constantly follow everything that Viv says, you're going to miss all this lore.
 
You know what? Good for them. While there are way better shows that have gotten axed without nearly as much network support, I can definitely think of way worse shows that have gotten renewed for way worse reasons. At least its art style is better than the thousands of Family Guy clones the adult animation scene has forced on us.

I really don't want to see a Viz portrayal of Michael as he's just going to be another lanky gayboi like every single character in the show. If they are going to add Michael give him a different art style and never ever let Viz have any say about how they are written.

I want gigachad Michael calmly knocking the Vees back to hell while commenting on how disappointed he is that Lucifer has fallen so far. No swearing no sex jokes just him openly mocking about how the once prideful Lucifer who refused to serve is now merely a tool for sinners.

Furthermore we never see the other fallen angels in hell. I chalk it up to Viz not knowing about them, but my head cannon is that they are doing their own thing in hell and have abandoned Lucifer once he started to hide away in his home playing with ducks.
