Keith being in the show at all isn't that out of place, it's mainly due to him being casted as the grumpy sailor mouth drunk Husk. If he played a different character, people wouldn't critique as much. Even before he was announced playing Husk, people speculated/suggested Keith being Alastor since Facilier was one of Viv's inspirations when designing him. I initially was against that idea, because I felt Keith's bass vocals wouldn't fit Alastor, but recently I came across this documentary about Leonardo Da Vinci that Keith narrated, and in the documentary, Keith gave his voice this elegant direction that sounded similar to how charismatic Alastor talks. Had he used that voice instead of the voice he's known for, he might have been able to pull off as Al.
 
So this is from a few weeks ago, but I came across it recently, and I think it might be one of the dumbest defenses of Hazbin Hotel.

I'll be honest, when he started talking about Football, I was seriously hoping he would get hit by a freight train (allegedly, in Minecraft, etc.). Comparing a written story with a narrative and a live sporting event, two things that are fundamentally different, is beyond retarded.

Obviously he is trying to spin it as, everyone can like different things, which is true, however what he doesn't understand, is that this does not make anyone's "thing" immune to criticism. Also, I know this may be incredibly hard to believe, but fans of football will complain about games all the time, the difference, is that since it's a live sporting event, it is not a critique of a plot, but of coaching decisions, player performances, quality of referees, etc. Viv not being able to write a cogent story is not in the same category, as this is well within the ability of a human writer directing a show, but a football match relies on a multitude of factors that the coach cannot.

Really his argument is "I like the songs and fan community, stop bullying my beloved show". To which I will politely decline his request.

Any time someone says the best thing about a piece of media is the fan works and community speculation, is how I know almost certainly, that it has fuck all going for it.

Finally, he mentioned Angel Dust making him emotional, maybe it's just me, but, junkie whore trying to fill the void with their addiction is a really basic bitch trope, and if you needed the stupid hell cartoon where everyone cusses like a thirteen year old to figure it out, you're beyond help.

Edit: Anyone making this argument of course ignores the fact, that even they should agree that if the story were better, surely they would like it even more, no?

But she got Mick Laur who I think fit perfectly for Husk and didn't sound like a Rick Sanchez impression. But I guess because he didn't do musical theater, he couldn't be one of the main cast. Just keep him as a background character in the actual show.

Anyway, I want to talk about Mimzy real quick because looking back at her pilot version versus her show version, I think they made her fatter. Not saying she was slim originally, but even with the one scene you see her in the pilot she is definitely less thicker. I also find her to look more appealing in the pilot. Maybe it's because of the thinner line-art, the desaturated color pallete, or the less overall "sharpness". Though, this is pretty much a case for every character in the pilot compared to their show counterpart.

Anyway, here's a little fun game you can play: look at any shot of Mimzy in the show and see how her body shape differs because the majority of the people working on the show don't know how to animated fat people.

I actually take a somewhat opposite approach. To me, when the best things about a property are its fan works and community speculation, it tells me that it's something with massive potential that's being horrendously squandered.

Well, the December S1 trailer did say "Featuring The Most Devilish Voices Of Broadway" so it wouldn't make sense to include Mick, or anyone for that matter, and typically whenever an actor has a separate person singing for their character, the singer doesn't get an acting credit. Question begs if Mick was given his background roles before or after he was recasted as Husk.

On the subject of Viv's headcanon voices, Pinkie Pie (who by the way her singing voice, Shannon Chan-Kent has theater experience, just putting it out there) was what she envisioned Niffty sounding like, and while Kimiko did play a character who was a successor to Pinkie Pie, I think we all know why she was chosen to play Niffty. Oh, wait, actually, according to Kimiko at a Con, she was offered the role and didn't have to audition, at least sing the song that was used in Niffty's audition sheet. Here's the link to that Con:

And here's the link to a Con where Brandon explained on how he got Katie. Long story short, Viv and Brandon were chilling at Viv's place, and she asked him out of the blue if he wanted to play Katie and he said yes.

Are there leaks that prove that? I know there was one leak that heavily implied Lucifer was going to die, but that may have been faked since I know there were real and fan-made leaks being intermingled with each other during that time.

Maybe she hit a few buffets since the pilot? Can't blame her, I'd likely do the same.

Those scenes from the pilot look to be heavily inspired by the musical Annie, the 1982 version with Tim Curry, Bernadette Peters and Carol Burnett. So much talent.

Funny part is that her weight is constantly fluctuating in the show, with the majority of the time having solely her tits be her upper body.
