Honestly, big opportunity missed here of Stella being Carrie. Both are female characters that are treated unfairly. And Stella would definitely rock the bloody prom dress look.

But no. Have her share merch with her shit brother portraying no-name characters from the shittiest movie of a shitty franchise.
Who are they suppose to be? Some villain characters from one of the Purge movies?

I might be in the minority in this, but I found that bit with Valentino to be quite humorous. Because of that, they're probably going to kill him off this season.

Haven't heard anything about the future regarding him, as opposed to Vox, who's likely sticking around if Christian mentioning recording for Season 4 is any indication. Apparently Keith made a tweet that he quickly deleted telling someone that Valentino will "get what's coming to him" or something along those lines.
Velvette will probably be killed off too since her VA hasn't announced anything about being in future seasons unless I missed something. Then again her VA doesn't really talk much about the show IIRC.

Yep. Specifically the ones from The Purge: Election Year.

The thing is they're not really representing any specific character like the other characters in the merch run are. I doubt Andrealphus and Stella are supposed to be...*does a quick search on google*...Minister Edwidge Owens and the New Founding Fathers of America.

Every single song in this show is so ass and I cannot fathom how someone can be so consistently bad at making music despite having millions of dollars allocated to their every need alongside expert editors and musicians at their disposal.

The reveal that she was the one talking to Striker at the end of the Harvest Moon Festival episode really made her out to be plotting to have Stolas killed. Then they turned her into a bumbling retard the minute Andrealphus shows up. It's pretty stupid that every time she adds a new character the previous villains all have their IQ drop.
Not necessarily retarded, but more so simplistic in terms of motives. She seems to only desire Stolas's death and would have been fine with Octavia inheriting his possessions, which again, makes her unintentionally sympathetic, or in the this case, a good mother for the wrong reasons. Crimson in his debut episode is probably the stupidest villain yet.

Chaz: Yo Crimson, I'm rich!
Crimson: How did that happen?
Chaz: Trust me bro.
Crimson: ok.

"Ghost Adam" saying he never liked Abel feels like vivzie trying to make you hate Adam even further post death and will probably be one of those things the fandom will half ignore and half headcanon that it's Lute hallucinating Adam agreeing with her.

Yeah not to mention you can buy Stella being stupid since she seems very sheltered and spoiled with her never having the ability to act normal like most aristocrats born into wealth.

Crimson's meant to be this mafioso whose intimidating yet it says a lot the episode where he actually feels the most intimidating is a short where he isn't present.

I must admit this season actually looks like it could be good. Though I admit I'm rooting for Vox which is not what Viv intended.
I think it's because Vox seems like a more compelling villain. Like, let's be honest for all the talks about Adam here, he sucked as a villain. In any other show, he'd be the henchmen to the real big bad in the show and not the main big badguy.

Adam has been painfully insufferable since season 1, Vox wins easily within this entire comparison since "the bar is in hell" (ba dum tsss). Alastor has been the raped in the season 1 finale (and without going into details, imo the leaks further strips him of this aura of invincibility that he was addressed by in the pilot), Valentino is just an excuse placed in the plot to display Angel as a muh poor baby bean sex worker, to fuel the general fetishistic obsession with gay men, Velvet has been relevant only for the Overlords meeting scene, Sera was potentially a good villain and I was hoping the second season wouldn't have made her flip so easily into the script of "nono, Sera, dont you see??? Charlie was right" shtick, but, alas.
Adam is (luckily) out of the picture, even if it s clear he s going to stick around for a while due to Lute s delusion, and even with Lute:
I really would like for ONCE to see some damn character development in this show, I would like some tension being builded up rather than MOVIE MOVIE MOVIE MOVIE, ACTION MOVIE. Like so many of us, my feeling is that all these dynamics and progressions are so rushed through, and dont get me wrong, there are rules and formulas of how to write a good story and a good plot, there are indeed some tropes that are functional to a story and are needed in a plot to properly run smoothly. I get it. But you dont have to make it immediately so obvious. You can give time to a reader or watcher to make their own speculations and grow expectations, and so on. And you can make it funny as well! You can make dark comedy, it s absolutely possible (look at a show like Bojack Horseman). I ll stop here, I ve been ranting rather than making an analysis at this point, sorry.

Half of them are from recognizable horror IPs while the other half look to be what you find at a Spirit Halloween. The Stolas one is just barely-disguised fetish material. The Moxxie/Millie one thinks it's being clever with switching the Chucky/Tiffany outfits since we know who wears the pants in the former relationship.

I will say that Charlie's line about Heaven not wanting to fight anymore actually piqued my interest.
If this series manages to avoid falling down the "What if God bad and Devil good hurhurhur" rabbit hole that every other anime does, I'm gonna be mildly impressed.
I mean everyone already knows the only villains in Heaven's side are just Adam, Eve, and Lute.

The worst the other named angels are is just stupid or misguided.

I thought the show was about a hotel redeeming people, why is there a war
Because Vivzie always has a problem with sticking to her original premise. Zoophobia was quickly not about Cameron trying to cope with her new job that involved grappling her fear of the animal people she now lived with, Helluva Boss is barely about demons assassinating people on earth, which is relegated to shorts probably so people would shut up about it. Unfortunately the latter worked with her fans, who are like “It’s to still have the assassination business plotline as a compromise! Do you know how boring it would be if every episode was just about killing someone?” To which I say, look at every successful episodic show out there and suck it.

To be fair to Vivzie, outside of the pilot, Hazbin is consistent about the war plot even if it's recycled.

It would've been another thing if there were like a season or so of Hazbin being a standard slice of life adult cartoon suddenly becoming this but still is about trying to establish a place for redemption even if it's a backdrop for war.

Compared to Helluva Boss which started off as an episodic comedy with bits of drama to becoming a full blown melodrama that tries to have social commentary about class, a romance plot with lots of "intrigue" and lots of daddy issues
