Chances are high this bit either got removed or retconned because of how Viv works. I'm pretty sure Vox is supposed to be a salesman with a media entrepreneur side like he is shown in S1, not propaganda right now. Unless I'm misremembering from all the nonsensical inconsistentency throughout the show.
 
One thing I've noticed from Mission Zero, is that most fans (and even some critics) are praising the episode for not having Blitzø call Moxxie retarded and I'm like...do they not realize the joke they replaced that with is actually worse? Blitzø pretty much said that he would blame Moxxie if he committed suicide. How is this any better? Yeah, it might suck to be called retarded, but I'd rather be called that then being told I'm the reason so-and-so is killing themselves.

I caught Loona referring to Moxxie and Millie as breeders. I guess some slurs are okay even if gays claim the word is more a slang. Also, would that term not apply to Moxxie since he's bi?

Vox's character sheet from the leaks before the show came out did say he was a cult leader in life IIRC which is what S2 is obviously going for, S1 just sucked at showing that besides hypnotizing a crowd once to buy his shit.

Yet another fucking character that wasn't expanded.
I swear that a lot of people interpretations of the characters are way better than what the show got, especially from something that was shown/told once in a passing mention or not at all. More so when one has to look up a character bible to know what they are at all.
 
What point are they even trying to make here? You can never hate Redditards enough.

1. No one gives a fuck about Crimson as a character not even as a good villain.

2. Season 1 presented some possible nuance between the fact Stolas himself is a piece of shit and how Octavia gravitated towards her mom. Not even mentioning the guilt and shame Stolas felt for abandoning his family.

The thing is they did give Crimson a reason for being how he is. He is a mob boss that wanted his son to be like him and teach him the ways of the family trade. His wife is against that and is actively trying to push her son away from the mob lifestyle, defying Crimson's choices. Of course what Crimson is doing is wrong, but their is a clear motive to what he does.

Now with Stella...I still can't pinpoint what her motive is. Every time there is something that could be used as an explanation, the writers immediately either change that in her next appearance or write something that contradicts it. I would be fine if she is supposed to be this irredeemable manipulative women that is just in this for money and/or power...if they wrote her like that. But nothing is consistent with her. She's just written as a hate sink to make Stolas look like the better person, yet they're still failing like that especially with the new episode.

I meant more as a "Fuck! I am in the world created by this author, and he/she likes the following things: X, Y, Z, W, T!!!". So it was more of a fourth wall breaking.

Nah, if anything, Vox would prefer people like Jon Stewart or Don Lemon or all the other MSM shitlibs, since they'd probably be a lot more willing to toe the party line and shill his stuff.
Plus if you think about it, VoxTek pretending to be a LGBTQ+ accepting company that fully embraces DEI values, just to maximize profit, makes sense
