MGM's name next to this garbage doesn't sit right with me.
MGM during its final decade was tied with distribution for fucking Cannon Films - they don't exactly have much of a reputation left to sully when it comes to artistic integrity.

And now thinking about that and after re-watching the documentary Electric Boogaloo, I'm actually seeing some similarities to the Hellaverse shows. The media with the blatant violence and sex exploitation content, having a cult following, starting out indie but aiming to go ever higher and reach the big leagues, being utterly terribly but clearly having had a bunch of passion put into it - I think in a lot of ways, much of the same spirit of Globus and Golan can be found in Vivziepop.

Stumbled upon the official plot description of Season 2 from an Amazon website. Figured I post it here.

Calling the exterminations atrocities is especially funny when the first half of this summary is essentially "the sinners and demons are plotting to invade Heaven." I think Viv is going for a chain of harm thing here but that doesn't work when one side is clearly the bad one.

Like the idea could work if Viv shows a good portion of sinners who wish to seek redemption and repentance instead of immediately going into another war plot

Which is also going to be the basis for Season 3 with Roo/Eve/Fake Lilith

"The hotel is booming with new residents."

>new residents
>new residents
>we only see baxter and no one else in the teased pictures

Do you really expect them to actually show a whole bunch of residents inside the hotel? We got a month until we see if it's actually booming or Baxter's the only resident in the hotel. I'm going to assume the first one because I mean, well, Season 1 already gave up on the hotel. The hotel's more of a plot accessory than one with actual purpose and merit. Don't expect Season 2 to give a rat's behind about the hotel aside from it being a plotacessory.
Maybe like it the first few few minutes of the first episode. Remember, it also says that many of the residents are not there for the right reason. So I can imagine they don't stay long.

It reminds me of what I said they should have done in the first season, where we have a montage of Sinners coming in and leaving because they actually don't want to be redeemed or they don't want to put in all the work.

Why are Sinners coming in now? I guess cause the Hotel were able to fend off the exorcists? I'm sure we won't get an actual explanation in the show.

So some episodes are going to be longer than 22 minutes? We know that episode 2 is just going to be 22 minutes long, so my question is what episodes are going to be longer and how much longer will they be? Part of me feels like this is just going to make the pacing even more wonky in the show.

I wonder why this decision was made in the first place. Is this somehow saving money because they don't have to pay employees as much if they worked on an eight episodes season instead of like a ten episode season?

They uploaded the songs officially, but most of them sound noticeably different from the in-show versions. Ig they rerecorded all of them for amazon?

I have to admit the songs are my main guilty pleasure about this show ngl.

But also, look at that cover art:
The season one album is IMP and stolas, with stolas already taking up a huge chuck of the space.
And then the season two cover art is literally just stolitz, fuck the rest of the cast ig.

Most likely a payment thing. Not exactly an expert on this, but this can apply to actors on whether they have a starring role in a show or a guest role. Since Cherri Bomb and Lucifer are now involved with the hotel, I wonder if Krystina Alabado and Jeremy Jordan will be promoted to the main cast list, or if they're still going to be credited as guests like they were in Season 1.

It always makes me lol how regal Stolas looks in official art. It almost feels like false advertising when show Stolas is like
Stolas spreading his legs wide

Man, I cannot imagine the insane bills Viv gonna be gettin' for having these two and the singer from Fallout Boi doing Abel. Like, whatever budget Amazon gave her, I'm sure they're eyeing her with a "This better payout girl..." look.

Flashbacks to Viv paying through the nose for three minutes of COD DON CAN DEE *millennial whoop* (that didn't even make it into the show).

Maybe it'll be like Sugilite from Steven Universe and she can only get him to appear in a single episode?

We also have to remember that she wants five seasons for this show. I really don't know how she thinks this will be possible as Amazon has already promised her four seasons for Hazbin and the supposed two new seasons for Helluva. Does she really think this it's going to last even longer than that?

Viv kinda seems she always likes blowing money on expansive talent (Fallout Boi, Kesha, Norman Redus) without looking how much they'll cost and clearly wanting them to be recurring characters.

I guess thats what she thinks? Since she made it this big and S1 did fairly fine, I spose she assume Amazon will think they have a money printer in form of her shows?

I'd hope for her sake that she's got a iron-tight contract that locks those seasons in. The economy has a whole host of post-COVID bubbles that are just waiting to burst, and one of those is the streaming trend that tech companies and the studios went all in on.

And, like, its purely just because she can flex her companies power/money like that.

The voice acting and singing would be just as good (if not better) with smaller va/musical theatre names, but she just had to have big names in big roles. Like, how much is amazon paying that chick from brooklyn 99 to play a character literally called vagina? Im sure most of them enjoy their time with it well enough, but i dont think they would sign on without a decent paycheck luring them in

Eve is allegedly the actual villain of the series who is currently disguised as Lilith in Heaven and is in relation to the literal root of all evil
Of course a fujoshit would make the first woman the main villain of the show. I’m surprised she hasn’t pooned out yet.
