My only question from this Mission Zero thing is how many fucking times is Viv going to rewrite and retcon the pilot? It's like every season she has to redo the start of the show to make it more in line with her faggot doll mashing ideas.
I'm just waiting for like a full retcon on season 1 episodes. Not like like little rewrites where "oh you just interpreted wrong or didn't see the full picture yet" retcons. Actually retcons that no dumb Twitter thread can explain away.
The thing is the only one we see being in an arranged marriage to produce a cautionary heir is Stolas. Spanish bird or ice bird didn't have to it seems. Honestly, the only reason why this is a thing for Stolas is for it to be another excuse for Stolas to never be in the wrong. Just to take all agency away from this character. Someone else is to blame for his actions. Can't wait for the narrative in season 3 to blame Octavia for shit that Stolas did.

We already HAD that with the "oh it was never meant to be canon" shit despite callbacks to the exact events (but I'm sure it's gonna apply to more episodes down the line)

You know one thing that came in up in my thoughts was that Stolas didn't have to make his life so...miserable. From what we saw from before the affair, Stella mostly just ignored Stolas. Sure, she insulted him sometimes but she never forced him to do anything he didn't want to do. When she threw the "not divorced" party, she literally said he could come if he wanted to. She didn't drag him around and say "look, this is my shitty husband". Stolas could very much try to get along with the other goetias like Stella does but he just doesn't.

Now if the show you know SHOWED Stolas trying to talk with other goetias but they just brush him off because he doesn't fit the mold, this would give Stolas some actual sympathy here and could also be an explanation for why Stolas is so obsessed with Blitzø and his attention. But we don't see that, and in fact, Vassagio is proof that Stolas could be friends with other goetia that would like him. But no, just be moody at the social event and grumble at your wife socializing with other people. Pretty much just this 4chan meme right here.

So they're censoring the word "arranged" now too? The way these people act, man.
According to them reddit literally wouldnt let them post it without censoring arranged, so make of that what you will

If Stolas had been fucking Vassago I dont think Stella wouldve even cared that much since he's of status. The main big deal was that he was doing an imp, which is supposedly mega controversial status wise, who also preceeded to very obviously humilate the family in front of the other goetia by crashing that tea party.
Stella clearly isn't attracted to his ass, so Stolas probably very easily couldve discussed an open marriage that goes according to regular aristocrat etiquette.

Tho ig there's the possibility that Stolas was such a wet blanket that people like Vassago only started giving a crap about him after he did something relatively interesting/controversial/entertaining.

Why is Wally here? The episode feels like it's trying very hard to appeal to Hazbin Hotel fans (or people who only engage with the hellaverse on Prime) who somehow haven't seen Helluva Boss before.

MORE FUCKING ANTAGONISTS?!?

WOW!

What a waste.

Also mission zero was dog shit. Awful waste of more money and resources and just to """remake""" Blitzo amd Stolas's relationship.

They did actually retcon something from the show in the new episode.

Reminder that this cake has Blitzø's bare naked ass and balls on it so.

And another thing, so we don't forget.

Stolas and Stella still shared the same bedroom. No wonder Stella is angry at him. Man didn't even have the decency to remove or cover the family portrait either for kinky time.

Remind me, how is he the good guy again?

Yet more proof the "Stella always hated him" thing was bullshit. If that were actually the case, they wouldn't be sharing a bedroom at all once they'd managed to reproduce.

I pretty much share the general consensus towards Mission Zero. It took anything that was good about the original and made it worse, especially regarding Stolas, y'know the character that this episode wants to tell everyone isn't this sex obsessed creep, even though they ended up doing the exact opposite.

It's funny how octavia has been manipulated into thinking her father is some embarrassing, depraved (even by hell standards) man slut by Stella to where she genuinely believes he'd rather be rodgering blitz than being her father....and yet mission zero and to sone extent helluvas current direction all but indicates that's EXACTLY what he is. If only Viv and co would swallow their pride and admit that and play it straight.

Admit he's a shallow, foolishness, lewd depraved idiot and stop trying to play him off as a tragic fallen from grace archetype who should be sympathized with. He's not he a deadbeat who as of mastermind is finally getting what he deserves.

If there's one thing I never get tired of seeing it's when Viv has a meltdown when people sympathize with her designated "villians" (stella, striker, moxie's dad) and not the leftovers from her high school drama club yaoi composition notebook.

I wouldn't say Moxxie's Dad or Striker really fit in the sympathy camp when they're just one dimensional hate sinks who don't really have many redeeming qualities. Maybe Striker through his charisma, but any ideology he espouses is constantly undermined whereas Crimson is just generic mob boss (it says the most about him, the best depth of his abuse is literally in a short he is not featured in).

Stella though is funny because both Vivzie and her fans melt down at people daring to sympathize with her. Hell the change that can be done to at least make Stolas more palatable would be to have him step up to his mistakes and try to seek forgiveness while Stella is stuck on grudges. However, the show feels like it wants to do that but fails since it tries to never admit Stolas is in the wrong even once and that it's everyone else's fault. The only flaw Stolas has is that he isn't honest about his feelings and clearly not neglecting his daughter, humiliating his wife, and treating his lover like shit.

Alastor is a punk bitch while Vox is what peak male performance looks like. It was inevitably he'd assert his dominance over Alastor eventually.
Vox has some of the better written dialogue as far as I can tell from the clips that I watched of the first season. The VA has a good voice. Just wish the show wasn't so heavy on "fuck fuckity fuck fuck retardddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddsss sex dildo".
