The reality is Viv is a scatterbrain who doesn't plan more than a few episodes ahead, trying to figure out the lore is probably a waste of time.
And there are certain creative decisions that she apparently planned ahead that are questionable. I keep going back to that clip where Viv stated S3 is what got Hazbin greenlit, because at the beginning, Brandon said he decided to sign on Hazbin for what Viv discuss what the plan was with him at Starbucks... does that mean Viv intended on having Brandon play Katie Killjoy and that wasn't a spur of the moment cheap gag?

This is the tweet featuring said clip for a reminder: https://x.com/nesspenguin89/status/1953076817243275728

Yes, because Viv said that Katie Killjoy is similar to one of Brandon's characters from his YouTube videos. Though before that she said Katie Killjoy was inspired by the character Gail Hailstorm from Scary Movie.

What I'm saying is Viv is never consistent with what she says. Just like her shows.

Does anyone else miss when Katie was actually voiced by an actual woman? Why they had to make her a possible tranny I'll never understand.

Cross-posted from the Vivzie thread. The original tweet is gone now btw.

Given how prominent she was during the pilot era, I'm fairly certain Katie was meant to be more important, which would warrant sounding like a normal woman. I figured that since Viv decided to take Hazbin in a more traditional musical direction, have the main cast be made of Broadway actors, and making the story black and white, she decided to minimize Katie's presence, but still needed to find a way to incorporate her in Season 1 so she can say she officially replaced everyone from the pilot, so repurposed Katie into Brandon's Bryce Tankthrust character. I'm pretty sure Tom's VA was decided after all the major roles were made, because I doubt Amir would have played him if he wasn't Alastor.

But based on how Viv and Brandon's wording, it sounded like she was planning on having Brandon play Katie before Hazbin even got picked up... which adds to my suspicion that Viv found Katie's pilot VA a new role in Helluva Boss to compensate that decision, as I explained on the Vivziepop thread, Faye Mata is currently the only pilot VA to voice a character post-pilot that didn't have prior history with Viv, unlike Ed, Mick, and Monica.

Seeing many things about Hellaverse, I can say the main problem is nobody say "no" when Viziepop has ideas to make in her series. If somebody, an editor or a writer, is saying "No, that idea is bad" or "better change this for this" the main problem of Hellaverse can be solved.

It's a common Achilles Heel of creator driven projects. Hideo Kojima games have similar issues and while I love the Metal Gear series, some parts are in desperate need of a tard wrangler for Kojimbo. "No Kojima-san, Liquid's consciousness living on through his severed arm attached to Ocelot is stupid."

Metal gear was the result of Olympic level tard wrangling. I won't have you insult what was the greatest fucking performance of tackling a tard to the ground and making them work in this fucking century.

Have you not seen death stranding?!?

Stephen King's novels are sort of like this in that once he got "too big to edit" and got final say at everything that got in, there was nobody to tard wrangle him. Almost anything overlength he's written could do without at least a third of it.

This is also why movies made out of his novels are often better than the actual novels. The plots are usually pretty adaptable to cinema, but a director can tard-wrangle it into a script and remove the crazy shit (like the deranged sewer gangbang in It).

She's not. She's basically supposed to be like Mrs. Monarch from the Venture series where she is a full-on female, she just has a man's voice. The only difference is that Mrs. Monarch is a good character from a good series. It also doesn't help that when I do hear Katie Killjoy now in the series I just picture Blitzø in drag.

Yes, there was an episode in the original pitch that had both Katie Killjoy and Tom visiting the hotel.

Which is what they're going to sort of do in season 2 when Charlie goes to the studio to give the facts straight about the hotel. And they're redoing the whole introduction of Charlie meeting Katie Killjoy for the first time, even though in the first episode of the Amazon series it was established they have already interacted before.

Anyway, Faye Mata I believe was perfectly casted for Katie Killjoy in the pilot. Without her, I don't think Katie would have been that memorable from the pilot. And let's not forget the iconic "I don't touch the gays'". She's a good antagonist for the pilot and also the spokesperson to how the average sinner is like in Hell, and their view on Charlie and her goal.

Are there not sites for nsfw chatbots? Why would he use the program that for writing thing and answering questions? Maybe I'm missing something because I've never used ChatGPT.
You can (or used to be able to) direct ChatGPT into writing 10000+ word entries. Probably longer. I can't get GPT-5 to do that. It was like insta fanfic dispenser for some people.

Some are moving to Google AI Studio which I can concur is pretty accurate. I use it for coding. Or understanding code.

Not only is trying to figure out the lore a waste of time, but we've seen through the relationship between the two shows that everything established can quickly be wiped away if it means more melodrama. Like Angels being unambiguously the good guys (by comparison) in Helluva, then we get a whole storyline about Heaven being corrupt in the main show. That's not even getting into how Overlords are supposed to be a big deal but they haven't once been mentioned in Helluva.

I'm trying to square in my head how Viv apparently wrote the third season first and has all these plot twists that she's clearly very proud of ready to go, but the first two are about shit no one cares about.

I have no knowledge of homestuck aside from the image attached below, but the characters on the left all somehow look more appealing then most of Vivzipop's character designs.

Someone cosplayed as this security guard, apparently.
They actually want the vivzie crowd to merge with the homestuck fans. This is the asking for the ultimate autism singularity. It's not big nowadays but i personally believe the worst modern internet/con fandoms on the internet track back to homestuck or "absorb it's spirit" like undertale did. Vivzie fandom is not there yet has potential fandom (and even hatedom) of modern day.

This is a literal "Worst fandom of history vs Worst fandom of today" bout.

And this will end well. For those in the sidelines, of course!

I've seen these fandom merges before. They don't end well (SuperWhoLock).

I found that especially amusing considering she was going to have had Jeffrey Dahmer on but he canceled.

Let's not forget Angel Dust being advertised in the Lust Ring which brings up more questions that won't be answered. e5ilv77pgxg71.webp
This is why usually spin-off shows come AFTER the main series is not. Not during the run, and certainly not before the main series.

Well she had some idea on how she wanted season 1 given the original pitch bible. It's just that according to her, season 3 is the reason Hazbin Hotel got picked up by A24. The question is did she have to change some things through out the entire show, or did season 3 not change at all and stuff from season 1 had to be changed to fit with what will happen in season 3. There's also the fact that Amir said that the season 2 premiere was supposed to be the finale episode for season 1, which brings up a whole new set of questions to ponder on.

I hope one of these days will get more info on how the production for Hazbin Hotel was like after the pilot was released, because that I find to be more interesting than either show as of now.

Only the Cherubs were unambiguously good. The main other angel in that episode was Deerie, who was an absolute cunt (and hilariously the pfp Vivzie chose). I thought they were the best good (in alignment sense) characters in the first season of HB, the only good season this franchise has seen.

Oh, Viv didn’t just pick Deerie as her pfp. She voiced the rotten little sack of venison too. Pretty fitting, really.
