Knowing Viv Glitz and Glam will be confirmed gay, trans, or all of the above any day now. Repeat after me everyone. "There are no straight people in Viv's work." Any character who claims to be straight will be retconed gay soon enough by Viv.

Unless you are Adam, Lute, Stella or any other character that she obviously dislikes more than likely because they're based in people she used to know.

There has been no merch drop for the newest Helluva Boss short. Which I find a bit odd because for all the other shorts there would have been one right the day after a new short came out. The short has only gotten 3.3 million views as of now, so maybe they figured it wouldn't be worth the cost to produce stuff for it. Instead they released some more pride shit, which is also weird because I doubt even the people who would normally consume said product would want any more of the same-old from last month.

If I'm not mistaken, their plan is to release it along the merch of the next short. But in all honesty I just can't see anyone desperately wanting to buy pins of Mr. Ned Rogers or Blitzo dressed as a kid.

Wait? They're also based on people she knows? What statements give that info? That must speak a lot about Viv herself. Reminds me of Taylor Swift singing about her exes in her songs after breakup after breakup. Helluva Boss has the vibe of so many Taylor Swift songs that have been alluded to past lovers: bad relationship, relationship problem, split, angry at partner.


I always thought these characters for the most part were made to be the punching bags of Viv and the fans because they're coded as straight and white, therefore they're heteronormative and in touch with reality and society as a whole, leading to the conclusion that they are greedy, homophobic, entitled, sexist, self-centered assholes for not letting the oppressed LGBT couples have their orgy in hell (alarming, because it clearly gives all they gay people in hell screentime, and nothing but gays obsessed woth sex and deviancy).

To be fair HB in itself, S1+the shorts specifically, almost had/have that Lupin the 3rd vibe going for it. Unsurprisingly, those make up much of my favorite moments.

Because that's what it was meant to be. That's what HB was advertized to he. But no, it became the webtoons BL of Stoals x Blitzo.

Alternate season 1 idea
The targets get less and less evil and the target relates to the past of each of the crew
Let’s say the start of the season we get a target that’s a scared run away teen that had left their friend to die and that leads to a flashback of loona being a runaway
And by the season finale they leave on a cliffhanger weather or not they killed a target that is a good person to the point they talk with imp about their issues from the past all because their client got ignored by the target

If only... Fuck, give me Imp!Zenigata rather than gay deadbeat owl man, or at the very least you could KEEP the latter, but mitigate his role a great amount and do something like, say, retain the characterization he had in the original pilot (the sinister, morally ambiguous benefactor type, iirc).

It is time. Triple threat. Just kidding these characters are boring. I have no love and no care for any if these characters so thats why I half assed them, can't all be winners.

Fizz/Travis/Chaz

I don't like them any of them. They are either annoying or boring.

So as a whole I don't really like or understand the character designs for any of them. Too messy, too much clutter, confusing design. And alot of them have same body syndrome so I changed them up more.

So for all of them I changed their color schemes to fit the story more and how my rewrites are.

Chaz is Crimsons son (hes a hybrid Imp/Shark)
Travis is a bird demon (so made him look more bird like)
Fizz (sex slave for Ozzie)

Rewrites

Fizz (look back to Ozzie)

He was given to him from Mammon who is in love with Ozzie.
Ozzie gets off to him being mutilated and body mods. He removes his throat, ribs, castrates him, and uses him as a living fleshlight, when Ozzie gets bored of him he cuts off other things then abuses him.
His limbs were cut off because Ozzie only gets off to him being paraplegic.
Ozzie sexually abuses him.
Another representation of Imps being abused by the upperclass.
He is hallow and empty, broken beyond belief.
Burns only came from Blitzo.
Blitzo finds him and rescues him and he joins IMP. They bond over their shared trauma of being sexually assaulted by the upperclass. He also bonds with Striker (who is also disabled.)
Fizz goes through an arch where he saves as many Imps from the upperclass as he can, getting them to join IMP realizing that they are not alone.
Becomes an icon for Imps because his abuser was a sin, the biggest and baddest demons.
Basically becomes IMP's mascot because of his already established career as a circus clown.
People look for him as inspiration.

Travis

Is a bird demon, because in his past life he was a bird smuggler. He killed people for his profits. Sold animals to the mafia as exotic pets
Smuggles a rare bird which gives him a incurable disease. So now he gets turned into a bird in the afterlife.
Joins Chaz who becomes a new holy weapons smuggler.
Still likes AngelDust because he wacks off to porn of him and is obsessed with him and stalks him.
He is loud and has a big mouth so they both get along because they noth talk all the time.

Chaz (look for my Crimson redo)

He is Moxxies half brother
Becomes the new head of the weapons smuggling his father owned betraying him.
Eventually Imp contacts them to get these weapons by Striker. And respects him as a halfbreed as well.
When he finds out Moxxie is apart of IMP he betrays them again and rats them out saying that actually IMP are the weapon smugglers.


Gonna be honest dont care about any of these characters or much about their stories and turned them into the background characters they deserve to be. Took away all that useless Fizz stuff, I don't care about the gay clown sorry. If theres anything you guys want to add go ahead all three of these were the ones I put the least effort in and I don't know if I'd bother going back on them because I don’t like them.

I really can't fathom how there are some people who actually believe those vile beasts act like the fictionalized adaptations of Viv. That's like saying Valak is a nun-shaped demon all because you watched "The Nun" when in actual lore, Valak is a baby-shaped demon riding a dragon. Or, rather, it could be like saying a demon and angel can be friends if they set their differences aside just because you saw Azriphale and Crowley be cutesy with each other in "Good Omens."


Mind you, these people probably dunk on the Conjuring for being so stupidly repetitive and unscary (at least to them because I'm going to shamelessly admit that some jumpscares still get me). At least it portrays the demons as forces of nature that aren't toys, AREN'T SEXY, and aren't things any sane person would dare contact, much less exist with in the same plane of existence.


I suspect some of them are wiccans or have alternative religions (I don't really know what to call this kind of thing). When it comes to personal belief and spirituality, I tend not to be so judgy as long as no one is getting damaged (including yourself), but shouldn't they be upset by how their supposed deities are being portrayed as sex addicts, even the ones who aren't? That portrayal Viv is giving their demon overlords could be taken as disrespectful invocation by the demons, going by their logic, for you shouldn't mess with the energies or something and only use them with proper knowledge and protection. Goes to show how many of them possibly see these demons they supposedly worship as cartoon characters themselves while being stuck in an edgelord phase.



It's easier to get knowledge on these demons nowadays thanks to the existence of the Internet, and therefore declare yourself wiccan, but it seems like the information is jumbled a lot. Add in comics, cartoons, books, series, plays, poems, and movies that feature the demons in some way, and the wiccans who don't even care to think twice would use them all as source material. Usually kids, I think, going through a phase of "oh I'm so different." But if there are grown adults who believe that, then that's ghastly because WTF.

@Mad Hunter To be honest most “Wiccans” don’t know jack shit about thier own religion or beliefs, their creator, gerald gardner was a perverted old man that just wanted to ogle high priestess titties. Hey, I like Travis...for no particular actual reason except for my own head-canons. All jokes aside, I'm glad you gave him a reason for why he ends up being a bird because I for the life of me can't figure out why.

Anyway, the only actual interesting thing about this ugly bird is that he was the only one from the pilot that was voiced by someone who was on Broadway. Yet he never sings. The irony.

It also helps that the Stolas in actual mythology IS portrayed as an owl as well, so yeah I can't blame her... this time.

Mimzy

So for this one I went for a different approach. Out of all of the designs and characters she is the most nothing.. All I could find was. She was made to be Alastors crush, is a greedy flapper and now some how a chicken.

Old design

Didn’t like her color palette, its too similar to the others.
She doesn't have chicken features.
I do like her body type, but it should be pushed more.
Not much backstory.

New design

Gave her a muted color scheme that also matches with Alastor in the timeperiod.
Gave her a unique shading style.
Made her look more chicken like.
Played with her body more.
Toned down her patterns.
Added barbed wire.



Storywise

She was a flapper who was working with the Mafia specifically Anthony's. It was a mafia hide out underground that pretended to be a bar.

She would listen to Alastor on the radio and was a fan girl, she would write him messages that he would read on air.

She was very lonely with work. People make fun of her because of her ticks which sound like clucks.

She was the star dancer and would gloat that even without her head she could dance. She was a incredible.

She was undercover snitch and when cops would come she would tell them their plans and such. Getting tons of cops killed, and other innocent people.

She is a greedy coward rat who will do anything for a little dough.

A detective come in to see if the allegations were true. Giving the wrong information on a sting, which Mimzy rated on them with the wrong information.

The cops do a completely different plan resulting in alot of the mob getting killed and the place ransacked.

Mimzy makes it away, and the remaining mob goes after her.

They don't like to have loose strings. they threaten her to keep dancing, and because of her cowardice and cut off her head like just to prove she could do it.

In hell she comes back as a chicken (coward/her pride.)

She eventually meets Alastor down there and is smittened. Alastor remembers her and is sort of happy (as she is a fragment of the time period when the world keeps changing.)

She immediately pledged her alliance to him, all she asks is his company.

Alastor of course is just using her agrees. They have a toxic codependent relationship.

Her head is detachable she can use both her head and body independently. (A reference to the art of Viv made of a character that looks very surprising to Mimzy.

She leaves her head around to listen in on conversations.

She can dance without her head.



This one was fun she's also just a background character so I didn't care too much about her. If you guys have anyother stuff to add to it go for it, I dont care too much about her, or her story or anything again she's sort of a nothing character like the other three.

I honestly thought he was supposed to be a raven or crow. Granted I doubt even Viv had an idea what this character's species was supposed to be and just went for "something bird-like" because...because. Speaking of bird-like:

I will never find it not funny that the whole Mimzy being designed after a chicken was Viv's half-assed excuse for when people were accusing Mimzy of being a Jewish stereotype.

You didn't have to mention the chicken thing Viv. It just makes you look stupid. Granted, Asmodeus is also supposed to resemble a rooster and we see how he turned out.

Also fun fact, both Travis and Mimzy are New Yorkers who died in the 1920s while they were in their 30s. I don't know why I needed to mention this; I just wanted to.

Holy shit I had no idea Mimzy was supposed to be a chicken. That's one of the easiest birds to give aspects to a character. I didn't give a shit about Mimzy when I watched the show. I really like the redesign and how she was incorporated into multiple character's backstories. A lot of the show's characters feel isolated from their background or time period.

If Mimzy is based on a chicken, why not make her more like what happened to the main villain in 1932 film Freaks? She would at least look more like the animal she's supposed to be and visual jokes could have been made.
