I found that weird too, almost like a payoff without the proper setup, maybe they didn't want Loona to be the one that finished off not-Mr. Rogers so they could had Blitzo do that? Because outside of that his participation in this mission felt very pointless.

Speaking of Blitzo:

Lmao the part where he pictures himself and Stolas with the kids was so fucking retarded :story:I was kind of rooting for Blitz but now I hope that stupid faggot keeps bitching out clients for going after gays and ruins his business.

There's part of me that hopes Blitz and Stolas end up in what The Graduate was implying i.e. they sacrifice everything to be together in a flight of fancy then break up after like six months. I know it's mean-spirited but think about it: Had these two spent any amount of time actually living together? They could hate each other after a week.

Well, Stolas is sleeping on Blitz’s couch after the trial now. Blitz made him breakfast, and he bitched about it, so that’s a real good sign.
You know what else is retarded? Stolas weeping and making those sad bird sounds when the Karen client mentions that her ex husband might’ve cheated, followed by Blitz trying to be like “W-well, cheating isn’t that bad!” Already projecting themselves onto this situation before it even happens, my god.

I didn't particularly like the short. I thought it was really boring. I really only laughed at the guy's initial reaction to Loona. It's nice to see a human character reacting to how most people would when seeing one of these things in real life instead of just being dumb and/or corny. The joke does get ruined because they decide to linger on the whole death sequence way too long (which is just a problem with Helluva Boss's writing in general. Something could be initially funny but because they drag it out it ruins the comedic effect). Also I just didn't really feel anything for Loona's "character development" because I know it's not going to translate to the actual show itself, so why should I care if Loona had a nice conversation with some rando? It's not going to matter in the long scheme of things.
I watched it just a little earlier today and kinda found it funny, if a bit oddly paced and stiffly animated (likely due to how once again both of these shows originally intended for squash stretch funnies shifted to standing still melodrama shit it takes a while to get into the groove of actual dynamic animation) was surprised that despite it being like that it had a form of comedy similar to the earlier episodes. Not as good, but not that bad. As you said though this isn't gonna carry over into the "actual show" so it doesn't even fucking matter.

I did find it kinda weird yet funny though how the mr. rogers reference guy was kinda drawn like the fucking dr. seuss grinch. Like specifically after he rethinks his stance on christmas and gains the a10 aryan eyes.

He even does the grinch's little crossed hands thing.
EDIT: TOOK SCREENGRABS TO SHOW WHAT I MEAN.

There's nothing wrong with being a transphobe.
>"There's nothing wrong with being a transphobe."
>proceeds to shit on Mr Rogers of all people and call him a transphobe

Are you fucked in the head or something? If you felt the ABSOLUTE NEED to tack on, "nothing wrong with being a transphobe" as the last sentence to justify your argument then clearly, to you personally, you think there's something wrong with it and you're trying to keep a neutral stance on the farms for good ratings. We can all see you for what you are. Did your feelings get hurt? Are you gonna go cry to mommy and daddy that the internet hurt you?
Cope, seethe and fucking dilate more, nigger. You missed my point entirely and made up a whole different argument - Good job for being ultra retarded 👏👏👏👏👏

In the spirit of the actual thread, someone decided it best to upload HB to the Internet Archive back in 2023 and it's still being updated with the newest ep already in there.

Not bad, but a wasted/pointless short, it would have been much better if the dude was living his life (being a good person), while Blitz and Loona are stalking him, until Blitz kills him at the end because rent doesn't pay it self, and then have Loona feel bad.

I still hate this shit, seriously, who thinks this looks "good".

Altho the biggest question I have, is not-Mr. Rogers in heaven?

The "worst" he did was pocket sand Loona for reveling her Hound form, this is the issue with HB concept, you mean to tell me that Heaven doesn't know about IMP killing people in earth?

One of my friends made a good point, Hazbin should have been Charley fixing the inside problems in hell, while the Angles are targeting Imp's.

Unless your self aware, (in which Viv isn't) you can't have it where one series is about redeeming people, while the other series is about killing humans, in the same continuity, because I would also have to ask.

How the fuck does Charley not know about Blitz killing people, creating the overpopulation problem to what she want's to fix?

Because it's in a different show. They may be in the same headworld but the continuities don't connect. Or, they shouldn't.
..Although that Amazon deal has me worried, is Blitz gonna be a massive plot point in HH now?

On some level I kinda get what they’re doing with Loona’s eye and hair. Anime tends to do it a lot for some reason or another, like prioritizing facial expressions. Sometimes it’s inoffensive, other times you wonder what the point is, which is the case here.

I’ve also seen the argument that you can’t even blame the guy that hard for freaking out when he sees Loona’s hellhound form. Because to us she’s just some cute furbait, but in the context of this universe he just saw a girl turn into a werewolf from Hell. That would be horrifying to…most people.

The series implies that who goes to Heaven and Hell is completely randomized since its shown not even angels know what gets someone into Heaven.

THEORETICALLY HEAVEN SHOULD KNOW GIVEN THE SHIT WITH THE CHERUBS AND THE HEAD SERAPHIM HAS A FUCKING OMNIPOTENT CRYSTAL BALL WHILE WORRIED ABOUT AN UPRISING YET DOESN'T SEEM WORRIED ABOUT THE FUCKING IMPS MURDERING PEOPLE

Thankfully Vivzie removed the problem being overpopulation and instead the head angel being an over paranoid nutjob being manipulated that there's some Hell uprising yet Charlie still thinks the problem is overpopulation despite knowing some of the truth.

They could have at least said who wanted the Mr Rogers/Ned Flanders mashup character killed. That might've made it fun.

This is all we got on the client, which again really worsens when you make Helluva Boss into a genuine drama and have it be set in the same universe where angels are genuinely worried about a demonic uprising.

The ending felt very Whedon-esque to me. For all the glurge-y melodrama in Vivzie's writing, she hardly ever (if ever) undercuts the emotion of a scene with a joke like this. I admit that I just finished watching HB, so I'll eat crow if I'm forgetting something.
I get the feeling a lot of people didn't like the ending. But Vivziepop fans are hiding behind the usual "Well what do you expect they're demons" excuse that always seems to become irrelevant when it's back to "Aww look how sad Blitzo is"

I think even on Twitter people are going "Wow, this was some mean spirited shit, the fuck"

People really forget how dark this show used to be. Rewatch the pilot or any of the episodes of Season 1 when Brandon was the lead writer. There's an entire episode where IMP is encouraging an old man to commit suicide. This short wouldn't have been so out of place back in season 1. It's just really out of place now because the show has changed to be a melodrama musical where you're supposed to be on the side of the protagonists.

I read a comment that called it "edgy and mean for the shake of it." The pilot now seems like a long time ago.

As someone said above, if he was a secret human trafficker or paedophile - it may have been a payoff. But no, Mr. Rogers that looks like Ned Flanders is just there to be killed, by someone who doesn't deserve - probably as a manner to show that in the end, we are cheering for people who are evil.

I like that, to remind dumbfucks in general that these are hellspawn and not people you want at your side. I would love to see them try someone like a priest or someone who has knowledge of Hell next, and is prepared for an assassination attempt and "shoots back".

Well, what is it that they want? They are demons and they do wrong things? It is a shame to see a good person who didn't deserve to die, true. Yet I think this solidifies them as creatures from hell who are there to kill. Call it anti-heroes or perhaps even anti-villains.

Think would be funnier if they ran into him.

I guess people either forgot about the Pilot or just assume each of the IMPs targets is usually a scumbag...if you dont count the weeb girl...and the mexican guy....wait..

The guy freaking out is a little odd as an ending gag not because of how long it lingers, but rather due to how he was faced with a literal demon in the worst disguise ever and treated him like a normal (but troubled) youth earlier. Dog people are a lot less freaky I think, but maybe that's part of the joke.
This thing in general feels like them trying to capture the original vibes this thing actually got popular for in the first place but not quite getting there. I think I already said that earlier though.

C.H.E.R.U.B. would make a good antagonistic force. They have a bone to pick with I.M.P., know their true nature and have nothing to lose. They would be better prepared after their first trip. And they don't even need to kill I.M.P. to save Earth, just fuck with their ability to travel back and forth.

I.M.P. should have way more enemies than they do, thinking about it. I can't imagine every soul that arrives in Hell has a "welp, shit happens" mentality, especially if their death was particularly gruesome. I'm surprised nobody has tried to take revenge on I.M.P. just out of spite.
