Hazbin Hotel / Helluva Boss Thread - Now a Griefing Thread

So Helluva Boss is following a similar path to TADC by coming onto Prime while still letting Viv have full control of the show and still being on Youtube. I guess we now know where the extra money will be coming from.

Two things I took of note from the video; first there will be crossover episodes. I'm not entirely sure who will come onto which one, and how well that will work out. But I'm sure the fans will be happy nonetheless. What they might not be so happy about is that they will have to wait a full month for a Helluva Boss episode to be released on YouTube once it releases on Prime. Bet there will be a lot more pirating when this happens.

Just watched it myself. It'll be funny seeing them making more episodes on the evils of the rich people and higher ups taking advantage of the poor while getting their shows greenlit to a company being the very thing the show was critiquing about. Many such cases.

That didn't have to be the case either. In season 1, you had the start of something for Stella's character. She was bitter at Stolas for having an affair with an imp; hurt because she either actually loved him and/or it would ruin her status as an ars goetia. But nope. In the beginning of season 2, she point blank just says that she likes to torment Stolas. And that's it. No nuance

Any writer who can pretend to be Stella for a minute can condense her entire marriage into three or four words, i'm in control.

Stolas spent the entire marriage trying to make things comfortable for her and once he had an affair and continued to sleep with Blitzo she became much more reckless and tried to get him killed.

Update from the Vegas con: Helluva is now also owned by Amazon and crossovers are coming thanks to the legal issues being sorted between the shows. Helluva will still be on youtube for free but will be streaming on Prime a month in advance alongside Hazbin.

I am honestly wondering how this will go because Blitzo and I.M.P. by dint of existing proves Adam, Lute, and all of Heaven, right about Hell. I know what Viv is going for, I know what she wants, but I don’t think she’s really thought through the implications of what these two shows meeting means for her wider universe. You have imps going to Earth murdering people. They are not good. What is I.M.P. going to end when they crossover? Is Charlie going to reneg on “anyone can be better”? Like, if the Princess finds out that these fuckers are breaking a major law, Surely there has to be a trail of some sort, right?

Don't worry apparently Hellborn are exempt from exterminations because the upper echelons of Heaven are threatened by Human Sinners rather than the Hellborn that they know are causing trouble on Earth.

The logic is somewhat sound: a sinner grows in strength as he accumulates contracts. The more contracts a Sinner has, the more powerful and dangerous he becomes. If left unchecked, a Sinner could very well grow powerful enough to escape Hell and even menace Heaven.

Hellborn on the other hand can in theory be disposed of by freaking cherubs AND they lack the ability to make contracts.

The problem is she made Stolas such an irredeemably awful piece of shit (even for a demon lord in Hell) that Stella is sympathetic because you'd hate this fucker too.

Charlie shouldn't be very happy with Hellborn damning people to Hell in theory, especially with the company of IMP. There business is not only illegal, but they are increasing the overpopulation rate immensely. Remember they're not just killing people that are there targets, but multiple others that get in their way. So even if all those people were already destined for Hell for whatever reason, you could argue there would be at least some time in between their deaths instead of all happening it at once. But Charlie doesn't really care that people are ending up in Hell anyway. Her only concern are the exterminators coming down to kill them.

In any case, the Hellborn should be thrilled that the Exterminations are happening. They're pardoned from getting killed (though I'm not sure how that would work out as some Sinners look very similar to the Hellborn species. I doubt the angels are going to ask the person whether they are a Sinner or Hellborn before killing them. I guess all the Hellborn just leave the Pride Ring on that day), so the lower-class mortal Hellborn are probably happy that there would be less Sinners around that just randomly come into their homeland that are more powerful and immortal.

Granted, that just brings up the question why Hellborn don't avoid the Pride ring entirely, seeing as they have complete access to the other rings unlike Sinners. They always have to worry about their own kind killing them; why add on people who can't die except by angelic weapons on top of that?

You know what would've been cute? If Blitzo told Charlie he remembers her when she was pitching the hotel at the News Station and he was looking at her ass in his Halloween costume (that's the Voxtagram's explanation of canonizing Blitzo's Hazbin design).
But since the pilot is no longer canon because of the redesigns and with Season 2 having Charlie meeting Katie Killjo... oh fuck.

While Harbin, China Hazbin Hotel is bad, it has a memorable cast. Helluva was ruined by the plot and the daily life of hell being fucking uninteresting.

Because you can't expect consistency and logic—that even a non-fan of the show would probably piece together and wonder—from Vivziepop. You'd think there'd be some divide between the Hellborn and Sinners considering Sinners are powerful and immortal, while Hellborn, especially the imps, are peasants beyond peasants. But oh no, they couldn't cause of, whatever reason! But now they're able to. And that's gonna make the worldbuilding unrecoverable.

Completely unsalvagable cause now there's 200x more unanswered questions that will forever be tossed aside for, what I feel, will become low brow fan service rather than an actual understanding of how two entirely different shows will counteract with each other.
