Yeah I realized that watching it. He only cares about Blitzo like it's his only trait now (unless the Vassago triangle is still gonna happen) why doesn't he teleport Blitzo? He can literally make portals, or his cape can transport people why doesn't he come in and wrap his cloak around Blitzo, and makes a portal for the rest if the gang and they could live out there in space as fugatives? Didn't he send him and his daughter to fucking space for his gay lie song? As he does control space I don't think the other sins can really do much about that as they don't have space powers. Why give them all these amazing abilities to just forget them? Do they only activate when they sing their gay little songs? You know, I've been watching reviews of the episode Mastermind, and it brought up a couple of new realizations for me:
First off, Stolas thought he was going to die at the trial. Which obviously not, because there were like no angelic weapons (unless Viv forgot that's the only way to kill demon royalty). But Stolas still was willing to die for Blitzø, without any thought of what was going to happen to his daughter because of it. Father of the year everyone.
And I know the fandom loves to say "Well what was Stolas supposed to do? Let Blitzø die?" I'm not saying that's what he should have done. What I'm saying is maybe instead of just randomly breaking out into a musical number, he could, you know, EXPLAIN. Explain what's been happening for the last...year, I'm guessing. But because these characters are allergic to talking, we can't have that.
And then of course people will try to excuse it by saying, "But the trial was rigged. Blitzø even said that Satan wasn't going to listen." If that was the case, wouldn't Satan have just...killed Blitzø right then? Or the entirety of IMP? It shouldn't matter what Andrealphus or Stolas say then, if he already saw the party guilty. If Satan is so unfair, and it seemed like the majority of the courtroom didn't even want to be there in the first place, why even have the trial? Who was going to complain? Andrealphus and Bee? Bro, they didn't do shit in that trial. Vassagio? He only cares about Stolas here. There was really no reason to have a trial, especially if the show wanted to...well show (lol) how unfair Hell is to imps.
The writing is so stupid and bad. It bends over backwards to ignore Stolas's behavior and his parenting lets list them all shall we?
He forgets the only event in 5000 years he promised to his young impressionable daughter.
Talks sexually to the homewreaker in front of his daughter and calls his teenage daughter hot.
Let's the homewreaker talk sexually of his daughter (Blitzo talks about having her sit on his face)
He takes his daughter to her childhood nightmare place, and promises it's to keep their mind off the fight. Proceeds to flirt with the homewreaker and ignores her.
Lies to her face that he'll never leave her.
Illegally gives his book to his gay sex slave who he views as inferior.
Allows his wife to beat him when she's insignificant and has no power over him. As she's just a birthing machine.
Rapes someone he views as his first and only friend. (Coherence is rape in this case because he can't ever not consent as he fears losing his buissness and his "partner" who can kill him like an ant)
Calls the imps basically slurs as well as saying their insignificant, and assaults them as well.
He calls his not even yet ex-wife a bitch I front of his daughter.
He becomes an orbiter for his gay lover and loses all his responsibilities to just orbit around him.
Texts his gay lover first instead of his daughter when hes in the hospital.
He's a classist.
He makes a manipulative crybaby song to people who hate his gay lover.
Tries to manipulates his gay lover by making out with a dude we never see again.
He manipulates everyone around him so that he can be the center of attention, and makes everything about himself even when he betrays his daughter.
He willingly is going to kill himself for his gay lover which in turn would leave his daughter he cares so much about it with his "abuser".
Tries to manipulate his daughter again for the third time (if not more in her life time, but that's all we see)
Never apologizes to his daughter.
Makes it all about him instead of his daughter who he's suppose to protect and care oh so much about.
Makes everything about him.
