Its also often black girls from cali or new york or something voucing for voodoo because they heard its a black thing, but have no real knowledge about it, with the white people being their lackeys and using them as a 'reliable' source just because theyre black lmao

It often goes like that, white girls absolutely eat something minority related up and fetishize it (gay people, voodoo, illnesses etc) then someone from that group (or larpers/barely related people) complains and sets off a chain reaction, then the white girls pretend they totally think its problematic, and instead of stopping with the fetishisation they just change something about themselves or the characters so its approved, and on top of that start shitting on others for not being as woke as them.

(So change the voodoo doctor to black, become a pooner (or 'gay rights activist who totally doesnt get horny over gay stuff its just for representation guys i swear'),to continue being a fujoshi, larp as having DID to use it for their ocs, etc, while any of the writing itself is still so obviously fetishistic)

I don't think so... while smiling friends is great it doesn't really have mainstream appeal in the same way. It's more... this decades south park.

Hazbin hotel was offensively decent... there is an amazing show screaming and begging to get made with the premise and characters and that is why it's so painful. Compared to most modern media its decent... just with a little but more work it could of been good.

Did literally anyone that isn't delusional think that this decade's simpsons would be hazbin?

Simpsons has wide universal appeal because its normal-ish character archetypes getting into normal-ish scenarios that are wildly exagurated for comedy. Its target audience is literally everyone.

Hazbin hotel is a pure ship fetish fuel for fujos who want to jerk off to faggots talking about how they have daddy problems. Its target audience is mentally ill pornsick teenage girls.

Hazbin was never going to have universal appeal, its goal is to remain intresting enough for its niche audience.
