At this point, most Helluva merch has roughly the same quality control as your average McDonalds happy meal toy.These are some I've seen posted online so far and they are ass. The outer cover is printed, not transparent, the blue is just not there at all, and the red splatters are mostly just a ring around the inside. Whoever pressed/approved these was completely fucking clueless.

It is so bad. Especially considering this was supposed to be the rare version that's an SDCC "exclusive" (why it is an "SDCC exclusive" when you could just buy it online I have no idea, but still) and apparently is even individually numbered, but it is by far the worst looking one.i saw the irl vinyl and fucking died lmao

One thing that I've realized from reading non-Western fantasy is that while the idea of sin can makes sense outside of specific religious context (the concept of moral failure is almost universal), the idea of redemption... doesn't (the concept that you can rectify and wash away your earlier failures by self-improvement is, on the other hand, by no means universal or intuitive). Unless you accept the existence of a higher moral authority, "redeeming sinners" it is just forcing your norms on others. So, Vivzie's RL stance and the basic premise of the show inherently contradict each other, and I guess it is no wonder that the plot is going nowhere.

I just find it so hypocritical.

Honestly, I find it funny that people are actually defending Val going: “They’re making him human, they’re not trying to get us to sympathize with him, the rapist/sex trafficker, and even if he was redeemed, isn’t that the point of the show?”
Meanwhile, they keep saying Stella raped Stolas, and there’s not coming back from that, despite the fact that, you know, sex is typically how babies are made? And they were married because they needed to make a baby. And Stella said she was happy when she laid Octavia’s egg because, it meant she could stop fucking Stolas? Maybe it’s me, but I think rapist aren’t know for not wanting to have sex with their victims.
They accuse all the critics of lacking media literacy, but I honestly think they just love the slop love the porn people put out of it, and instead of just admitting it, they need to twist themselves into knots to defend it.
Now watch as next season, they say Lute is worse than Val.
