Honestly, I'd be all for Stella turning out to be an evil girl boss who fucks over Stolas and the retards. I don't want her to be portrayed as the reason for Stolas's issues, just the one who tries to punish him and the others for his indiscretions, the poor woman deserves a moment of vengeance.

There are probably two groups of people who enjoy the shows, the normal people who think it's a funny show just for amusement and the types who are either hard left or hard right who either latch onto the gay or the hell aspect. I'm guessing Styx wrote that message.

Can I be honest for a moment. I really don't get the world's obsession with all the different sexualities these days. I say this because who character finds fuck able isn't really that important in the grand scheme of storytelling.

To be fair, this shit predates tumblr. It was all over livejournal and fanfiction.net before that. And in the fanzines before that.

I think it's just more a cultural phase than long-term insidious social media influence. Fujo ship culture was really popular with a specific generation of women, those women are now influencing the mainstream culture, the mainstreaming will eventually make it cringe and hokey and the next gen will reject it in their subcultures.

I guess that's another issue I have with Stella. If they don't want to make her the least bit sympathetic, that's fine; at least give her some agency in the story. The last thing she has actually done is putting a hit on Stolas in season 1. And it has been called off. She has done nothing since then. It's all being done by her fucking gay brother. And people still want to act like she's the big bad of this show. That she's the one responsible for pushing Octavia away from her dad. They haven't even had a conversation with each other for fuck's sake. It's really only Stolas' fault for souring his relationship with his own daughter.

But I guess that's been the big problem for season 2 as a whole. None of the supposed threats from season 1 has been a threat. The DHORKS? They've been pushed to the background except for like a cameo of having the Chrerubs enter the demon realm. Striker having access to an angelic weapon to permanently kill Stolas? Every appearance since his first one has been reducing him to nothing but a joke that can never get the upper hand off the protagonists. Yeah, Stolas got "hurt", but he was pretty much fine in his next appearance. And neither him or the ther upper class seem to be the least bit concern that an imp has access to angelic weapons that can kill them. The illegality of IMP having access to the human world by Stolas' grimoire that could get them all in trouble if it was found out? That's barely addressed in the court episode and the focus would rather be on Blitzø apparently raping Stolas and then Stolas barging in with a musical number saying he's the mastermind of....something.

Season 1 had the implications of something more happening in season 2. Bigger threats. Bigger consequences. But season 2 didn't want to address any of it. It rather focus on relationship drama that immediately get solved once it's brought on. Guess it's my fault for expecting something more serious, when the season 1 finale was literally just Stolas and Blitzø having a fall out after a shitty date.
 
The only charity that can be given to the season 1 threats is that the DHORKs are at least presented as gag characters given their name and how little they were taken seriously by the characters since their debut. They functionally are as threatening as Dib is to Zim in Invader Zim.

The only times Stella interacted without Stolas in the scene is her hugging Octavia for comfort while smiling to herself and just being a neglectful mom while taking away Octavia's ability to call Stolas (which doesn't matter cause she can just walk to the IMP building anyway without issue). But she'll be more verbally abusive in Season 3.

I’ve just realized how ugly irl all of the female VAs for both Viv’s shows really are. They’ve all got chubby and generally unappealing faces with either bland or whorish stare, though I’m not sure if that’s an issue with the majority of female actors in the industry right now.

I often sense how a VA’s character traits translate into the characters that they are impersonating, especially when they imply that certain characters are “literally them”:

Think of it this way - a girl can’t take proper care of herself and her body, has a menacing stare and an ability to act as her only redeeming quality, with the aspect of most females being dramatic by default and all of the voice acting in both shows being blatantly average, yet on the photoshoots she still looks like she craves attention and expects some sort of gratification for what she does.

Regardless, I see how this can be perceived as a disconnected remark, since my views on the subject matter are very subjective.

Well two of the females are technically men. And we have a child here. So I'm not going to criticize the looks of a literal fucking child.

Also half the people in the Hazbin Hotel list don't even voice in the show anymore.
