Wasn't the whole point of this getting picked up by a studio is so that the production goes more efficiently (i.e. faster)? If it weren't for legal drama with Queen Bee, Helluva Boss S1 only took little over a year to complete from Episode 1 to Episode 8 with the average runtime being approximately 18 minutes, 4 minutes less than a Hazbin episode.

I just noticed this. Charlie is around 6-7 feet tall. Blitzo looks pretty big here for imps being smaller. Isn't he suppose to be like 3-4 feet? To adult humans he looks like a toddler, so they really need to make a height chart or keep some kind of consistency within the series.

Gooseworx is actually sane about her fandom. All she said was for people to behave and that she hates content farms (I mean, those content farms are shit anyway) but doesn't stay angry all day long. She's patient, calm, and has a sense of humor (calling her "she" because I always assumed Gooseworx was female anyway). I've seen her joke around with her fandom and is generally friendly about her stuff.


BTW, what did Toby Fox do? His drama tends to be very obscure and short-lived even.

True. To give credit when it's due, it's nice to see indie shows get attention like that, but God, people are suggesting cool character development stuff for her then she gets mad.

Oh my god, they actually have her eyelid behind her hair. I know this is probably a nitpick but I really do hate it when her eyelid is clipping over her hair. It just looks like her left eye is floating when they draw it that way.

Not to defend, but I think the reason that doesn't bother me or why I don't notice, is because Vaggie already has her eye over hair, I get this is a design trend because it's difficult to express characters emotion while having long hair, but there is a point where your putting more effort then needed.

The thing is with those examples you showed me, the hair is still over the eyes. The opacity has just been lowered.

The problem I have with Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss (cause they both do it) is the fact that it's not some stylistic choice. It's inconsistent. Helluva Boss especially, as season 1 didn't have much of this issue. And if it was just a bit of the eye, like the eyelash, I wouldn't get so annoyed. But when it's half or more, then that's when it becomes very distracting for me. Fuck, they're making more work for themselves when they're animating the entire eye over the hair.
I know that this is HB and not HH, but I'm using Loona as an example for these shows as she has become the most egregious out of all the characters. You get the same amount of emotion, but now with the bonus of not having her hair clip through her entire eye. Again, I know I'm being a bit nitpicky, but I just think it looks better that way.

And with Vaggie's "X" going over her hair, I was never a big fan of that even back in the pilot days. I get that is a stylistic choice but the fact that the X is supposed to be on the eyepatch she's wearing, it's really just distracting to me. It just makes me think the X is just floating over her face instead of being a part of an accessory.

You're right - the examples with the covered eye look so much more present in terms of form. The character is jumping off the page the way an animator should want in a cartoon or tv show vs. a fine art image. They look way better and are easier to focus on for the viewer.

Yet another ruined character. She was my second favorite client, next only to Loopty Goopty. It would be nice if I.M.P. still had clients.

Vivz is pretty good at creating characters but somehow insists on ruining them. Having a Client of the Week would prevent this to some extent. She started out with a nearly perfect episodic comedy format. And then ruined it.

It's frustrating watching this whole thing deteriorate into total stupidity and idiotic crack ships.
