After much buzz about Helluva and Hazbin on /co/ and other places, I finally gave it a chance and it honestly feels like a poorly written hypersexualized fan fiction of an already established cartoon show.

The characters are overdesigned, dialogue is all over the place and feels like it was written by a 14 year old girl who just discovered yaoi in her edgy phase, homosexuality is being fetishized/characters are being reduced to just that, "safe edgy" hell filled gays and furries. The only saving grace is the production value but even that might bite Vivi in the ass eventually.

I guess you could consider the shows rivals but the creators are friendly with each other, Gooseworx even made music for Hazbin.

Of course, this is what we know publicly. For all we know Gooseworx has a photo of Viv’s face that he drills holes into.
 
Late but I've to say I can't believe that Verbalase pays his animators better than VivziePop. For anyone that wants/wanted to become an animator, remember that your only reliable options are educational/preschool, advertising and porn. No one is essential and you will be judged based on your online following as much as what your pitch offers. Don't sell your best ideas. Don't mald over things you can't control, let loose and enjoy the ride.
Unless Viv goes turbo nuclear this show will get at least 3 seasons worth of opportunities to salt the earth for the rest of us while stuff like Villainous exists in not confirmed limbo. Who I'm kidding, Ituriel is as much of a gooner as the rest of them.

In HB you can basically write off the female cast due to how utterly shafted they are.

Millie hasn´t gotten her own episode yet that doesn´t end up revolving around Moxxie in some way, the one where she is a singer is also has Blitzo´s sister who is fighting off Moxxie & Blitzo.

Octavia and her mother likely never will have an episode together since you´re supposed to take Stolas´ side of the divorce (because a writer is going through a divorce himself...)

Ofc you shouldn´t have watched HB since the premise of demons going to earth to kill their targets only ended up being one episode, maybe two if you count the Cherubs one.

Rest is either Blitzo´s family drama, Stolas´ divorce or a Moxxie episode.
 
Watched the 2 Hazbin episodes. Really disappointed.

Episode 2 drops the focus on the main characters (they have 1 min screen time?) to focus on a tertiary character's acquaintance...

The Hazbin Hotel doesn't even seem to be the main focus of the show. It's just there, somewhere, mentioned in the passing.

I think only 3 episodes + the Pilot have them involved with killing humans, most of the time they just act like bodyguards than hitmen.

I'm stick with the Darksiders lore (either Heaven and Hell are a bunch of obssesive fuckers who's gonna kill anything in their path), not this gay furfag piece of shit Vivzie made.

He's surprisingly also handling his video exposè really well (well, besides disabling comments on his newest video) by actually shutting the fuck up and keep quiet from the mob laughing at his ass for commissioning this.
 
Hazbin Hotel is just Obey Me! for furries:
*demon characters with setting in hell/afterlife
*character designs are fujo bait
*fetishization of abusive relationships
*over-complicated designs
*audience of young tumblrite women

At least Obey Me! was successful first as a game before becoming animated. Where did Viz get the money and momentum to start animating a show when the last thing she attempted (Zoophobia) was left incomplete and a mess?

Viv is lucky that the Verbalase shit happened at the same time as this ungodly mess. Could've been worse.
But man, shit is wild. People are finally, unironically starting to call the series a visual mess, after about 4 years of non-stop mindless shilling. I've seen people criticize Tumblr artstyles multiple times on old YouTube and /co/, the BadWebcomicsWiki shat on Viv's previous comic "Zoophobia" a decade ago (she got a n g y), but I've never seen people tear it down on fucking brain dead TwiXXer.

It’s as if as long as something is considered “inclusive,” all of its flaws are ignored.

I feel bad for PanPizza tho, in his latest ""review"" of the show you can tell that he realllly wanted to criticize the overall design philosophy of the show.
