I've been rewatching southpark recently (the thing vivzie said inspired her to put more fucks than a whorehouse in each episode), and it just occured to me that southpark did the whole "Disney Princess in hell" gimmick like 25 years ago:

Not only did they do disney princess in hell, but they also did the fujofag relationship drama too:

And did both them astronomically better, both from a writing and a musical perspective. Satan, Chris and Saddam were a more engaging trio, moreso than anything in hazbin, probably because Trey and Matt more concerned with being making a good show than animating their fetishes.

Funnier thing is that south park came at a time when culture was considerably more conservative, but it was STILL edgier than hasbin hotel is even by today's standard with both Hitler and Jeffrey Dahmer being recuring characters in satan/hell episodes.

I mean shit, south park even did the helluvaboss bit where assassins/hitmen from hell go back on earth to accomplish a specific task:

Chad south park: Satan is best friends with hitler and jeffrey dhamer is his top guy.

Virgin hasbin hotel: Hitlers soul was destroyed that's why he's no longer in hell.

Also, they were around 30 when bigger longer and uncut came out, they were more or less the same age if not younger than vivzie, so that's not really an excuse either, we've always known it was a skill issue but its nice to have an example.

Goes to show what you can accomplish when you're not masturbating to your own work.

I gotta admit that "Vox Populi" has really grown on me. It's a fun song and I love the energy Christian Borle brings to it, especially when he performed it live.

Recently bought myself a Streamily print signed by him. Most expensive one to date but worth it.

Their performances are what really make me like HH so much and it was pretty fun to watch that, but god seeing all the cosplayers gave me such internal embarrassment that I even enjoy the show.

Christian Borle carried season 2 on his back and I've been sucked into listening to some of his other work by proxy. A friend of mine has been trying to get me to listen to that musical where he played Shakespeare for years and now I'm tenpted.

He is pretty much plays the main character this season. He gets ten songs to sing as Vox, while Charlie only got 6. It's also why Viv didn't kill him off, even if it would have been more satisfying conclusion to his story if he was. Cause Viv still wants to use this character. Because these characters aren't really characters part of a story; they're toys that she is playing with.

Speaking of that, exception to Charlie and Moxxie, every bisexual characters in this show date men: men are in a gay relationship and females are in straight relationships, the only characters that swings "both way" are purely pansexuals, Blitz and Valentino come as an example, but you can also add Husk who blush at Angel Dust and was lurring at the baristas in the casino. Yeah, viv's idea of sexuality is laughable.
I thought Charlie was dating the tacobender.

Solar Sands, a youtuber you may know for his in depth art analysis, has taken the Vivzipop writing meme and has analyzed how many swear words are used in the entirety of Hazbin Hotel up to the second season.

You left out the part where Vox was totally justified in everything he did and how any same person would agree with him on everything.

When the 'tism compels you to take up the sysiphean task of counting cuss words in HH.

"There is nothing beyond the reach of cussing beyond the scope of fujoshit and yet we seek it insatiably."

I agree with his overall point, that characters like Alastor shouldn't be cussing like a modern twenty something. Also, when SS (nothing questionable about that abbreviation), his point with St. Peter is on point, "Good vibes? Get dunked on? Aren't you 2000 years old?" Some of the best insults come from people not cussing but having actual wit.

Also, I appreciated hearing the Chozo Ruins Main Theme from the Metroid Prime soundtrack in the video. That was a blast from the past.

But but. He’s just an innocent little Blorbo. :(

In all seriousness I like Vox as a character because he’s a narcissistic piece of shit and an entertaining villain with good songs, but anyone that actually thinks he’s redeemable needs their head examined.

Guy really went into the analysis of all this. Way more than I did with the pilot. But I agree with all that was said. Everyone really does sound the same. Also 397 "fucks". Jesus, that's a lot.

Memes of Jesus saving fictional characters is something I adore.

For example:

Also, while I want Christ to show up in this show like I want a hole in my head, if someone wanted to be clever, why not have some guy show up to help at the hotel, maybe using some carpentry skills and who has an investment in saving the souls of lost sinners, maybe someone who had died to do just that before?
This is the kind of autism that should be mainstream--not the troon shit. I absolutely adore characters meeting Jesus (it warms my heart as silly as it may seem)

I for one would like to see art of Viv's characters as devout born again Christians and for said art to be sent to Viv. She needs to accept Jesus as her personal saviour.

I love fandoms that get so antsy about fictional characters that they're willing to ruin relationships over it. And in the case of Valentino, it's definitely an either/or between "I like this guy but I don't support his actions but my friend still hated me for liking him in the first place" and " hate this guy but my other friend doesn't and we got into a fight because we can't compromise over the morals of a fictional character".

Oh, watch out everyone. We got a "media literacy" user over here!
