That's probably why she was so ready to shit on Maddie Blaustein, she knows she'll never have a role as huge as Meowth's. Sour grapes and all that.
She doesn't have half the talent; someone upthread remarked her everyday voice sounds the same as the character's, which means she doesn't have much of a vocal range.

Most of the people involved seem to be rather talentless. Julie is a huge bitch to boot.

They wouldn't be true lolcow material if they weren't such butthurt prtpetual victims with huge egos and unwarranted self-importance. It could have been just another poorly animated show, but they had to turn it into a total shitstorm with their wanking.

Has anyone attempted to create redesigns of the Gen Zed characters to make them a little bit less unattractive? I know that some Kiwis here have came up with redesigned personalities, but I've yet to see a visual redesign of the characters aside from a few "uglifying" (or should I say "Tumblring") of them.

It's weird, cause the art does isn't too horrible. I mean look at this picture of Shona from a distance, where you can't see the bad line work.

If you kinda look at it further away, in this simple shot, it doesn't look too bad. In motion it looks bad, but I can't help but feel if the animator had more time and experience he could do way better.

At least we know a talented writer and Hayden Black have never been in the same room.
 
I'm not even sure his experience level could have saved him. Animators and Clean Up Artists were hot picks for college projects because so many were required in order to make an animation within a reasonable amount of time. Really, he just needs more man power (if all he needed to draw was the key frames for instance, then someone else did in betweens, then someone else to do clean up, etc).

I don't think they would find even one other volunteer, however, given the notoriety of the project and how Hayden treats people.

Apparently all you need to do to get the job is be able to animate and talk about how great Gen Zed is.
 
Aside from mocking a trans woman hopping on the Gamergate hate train may actually be the first "smart" move they've made in trying to win over their target demographic.

Yeah, we talked about it a few pages back. It's disgusting how they went from spitting on her and diminishing her accomplishments to using her as promotional support when the tide turned aganst them.

That seems to be the long and short of it.

Still doesn't mean that I can't legitimately hate the show and its creators for everything they've done so far.
