Also, did you have any influence in the character's designs? Because aside from Shona and the Asian girl, the designs aren't that great. I mean the blonde guy looks like some sort of weird deviantart nazi OC, and the the landlord and the one guy (I think his name is Cameron or something) straight up look like racist caricatures.

Was there a character design in this show that looks like someone you would actually meet outside of tumblr

The "artist" probably couldn't draw a plant without making it into an oppressed special snowflake plant. That said a lot of plants are intersex so that's lots of lost tumblr points he didn't draw attention to.

I don't really personally care. It's not something I have a stake in. It's just tacky and sleazy to use someone's death as a way to sell some shitty product, and that's what Hayden did.
 
I'm still just wondering what you'd have done differently if you were in the writing chair @JulieRei . I'm not asking for you to break a nondisclosure agreement or something; I am really just wondering what you'd do in Black's spot on the project. Why is this a question you ignore?
 
No matter how you look at it, Hayden was using a teen's suicide in order to peddle his product. There were tons of ways to discuss transphobia in the series, using an actual person's death shouldn't have been the choice he went with.

Didnt you just say a page or so ago you just played it like it was wrote and not bring anything to it of your own (for now) or was that all in a big long exposition scene that will be on the finished episode.....or are u providing context to justify exploitation.

I'm not offended by the racism or bigotry, but by the stupidity and lack of funniness. Hayden has something like a genius for "jokes" that are not only not funny, but they actually cause one to doubt the very possibility of jokes ever being funny and make me want to kill myself.

I have never in my life seen someone so un-funny as Hayden Black. He is to comedy what Attila the Hun is to fancy dress balls.

Maybe were just reading the part wrong.
Hayden wrote Shona as a stand up comic.....but what if he actually wrote her to be massively unfunny and only gets laughs due to affirmative action.
That explains the pew pew and pez dispenser jokes.

Man this was fun for a while when we were all just having semi-pleasant conversations with Julie. Now its back to Hayden's painfully bad jokes. It was nice while it lasted I guess...
