So in early 2015 a man known as Hayden Black announced that he would make an animated tv series, either for the web or for TV, The show called 'Gen Zed' gained controversy quickly as the trailer boasted that it was the first to have a trans actress in a lead role (this isn't true however as an anime called Midnight Animal had a trans actress in a lead role) Despite the show being most likely aired in America the title had 'Zed' rather than 'Zee' for some reason. Over time Hayden kept using his crappy progressive selling point to whine about trolls, and even set up a twitter account (@Gen_Zed) to whine about the trolls. He uses the Gen Zed twitter to rehash his godawful jokes, whine about trolls and rarely give updates about the show. After a while Hayden gave us an airdate for the first episode of Gen Zed September 1st, 2015; however this rolled around and Gen Zed didn't air. So Hayden reset the airdate to December 1st 2015, again the show didn't air. The current air date for Gen Zed is 'mid 2016'.



Hayden Black has been known for racist, sexist and anti-Christian comments in the past, making his progressive argument bullshit. He has been known to whine about Kiwifarms, ED and 4chan in interviews.

I don't now whether they went bankrupt, I'm not sure how to find out if someone's filed for backruptcy in the U.S. I'll leave that to someone who's more adept than I am at navigating legal records.

What we do know is that both his previous business ventures were suspended by the Franchise Tax Board.
And Hayden never did anything to remedy the situation, as they are still listed as suspended years later.

Hayden made a new company for Gen Zed, but it's not in his name, he needed a middle(wo)man for it.
This means either he already encountered some legal trouble, or he's afraid of the Big Bad Tax Board.

Ten bucks says he'll move it yet again when mid 2016 rolls around. Though who knows? Honestly, I'm just waiting for him to say that it was all a scam the whole time.

Because that sounds more plausible than "Oh guys, sorry about missing the date, the episode will premiere sometime in 2017 or so. I haven't decided yet. Pew Pew!"

It's supposed to be Gen Z, as in after Gen X and Gen Y, but Z can be pronounced as Zed. Still strange, Generation Z might've been a lot more descriptive of the overall show.

According to the trailer, they're not part of generation x, but are too hipster to be part of generation y, so they're calling themselves generation z. (Though it makes no sense because gen z is supposed to be the people that were born after 2000.)

I haven't heard of the Gen y, Gen x thing, and when I googled "Zed" all I got were a couple of restaurants and a video game character, but I'll apologize for being so naive.

I'd like to point out most of the content in this thread comes from three different kinds of sources:
  • Webpages that were created or edited by Hayden himself (his own websites, Wikipedia, IMDB, LinkedIn...)
  • Things said by Hayden himself on social media or during interviews.
  • Public information such as corporation records.
A look at these shows Hayden has lied and bullshited his way throughout most of his so-called career. But somehow, we're the ones making things up. :story:

Should probably add that every last one of Hayden's shows features him in a Mary-Sue role. Even in Gen Zed, where he's merely a "voice", he's the one wise enough to get the characters all together.

Goodnight Burbank - Gordon Winston-Smythe, the lead anchor of the news show.
The Occulterers - Herve Villachez - Belgian psychic
Cabonauts - Some douche who has people say he deserves all the credit and blonde women for his training.
Gen Zed - Quillam - The mysterious voice in the MMO that gets everyone together.
