Also, this is way way back in the thread but I was reading the official biographies for the other three main characters and Cameron's biography actually made me cringe. A foster care kid who wants to become a rapper? Can you get anymore stereotypical that that? I mean, there's no denying that race plays a big part in the foster care system but they're plenty of black people who come from normal families and backgrounds. As for the rapper thing, well, I think it's pretty obvious.

But if I were to be more positive, you could spin it around and make it a compelling character arc. Since he grew up in the foster care system, he probably has very low self esteem and feels like his parents abandoned him. He's probably never had a stable family life and because of it, he's rather broken as a person. Through the course of the show, he learns not only to love himself but finally manages to find a "family" with his equally screwed up friends. And because of that, for the first time in his life, he's actually happy. But of course, that takes actually competent writers and Black is more interested in making a Her parody instead of actually doing anything interesting with Cameron.

You should have tried to hear them create depth for all their characters at the panel, it was a blast.

And some truly shameless attempts at pandering to the trans crowd:

"Look how much we love trans people!! So please watch our show!!!!!"

So my thought is that Hayden Black is clearly showing his care for the show by rushing all of the artists on it; since that's some of the cheapest and nastiest 3D art I've seen; he couldn't even bother to show off a clip because they have nothing for it.

Just... the level of incompetence is ow.

Ugh, please don't use a Mad Max: Fury Road gif. That movie is too awesome to be associated with your shit stain of a show.

Man, that actually sounds like a compelling story arc for a character, so Gen Zed's treatment of said character is obviously going to be as far from it as possible.

Also, I'm wondering if any of the characters will have any attempt at an arc. I could assume Shona, because she's the lead, but I'm assuming she's going to be a perfect little Sue, who never does anything wrong, lest Black incite the wrath of Tumblr.

Or at least the one Tumblrista watching the show.

Quillam will be the most important character, even more than Shona, believe or not. Okay, you'll believe it, because that's who he is in every last one of his productions.

I can't see the 3d meshing at all with the 2d, that shit just doesn't happen. I just hope that they don't 3d the characters into uncanny valley, they probably will though.
My guess they want to trace it. Oftentimes 3 models will be created of mechanical objects in 2d animation to ensure the perspective is accurate.

... At least, assuming they're not going to be extremely lazy and just use the raw 3d footage...

In the finished product I hope any 3D modeling done with the characters ends up with various moments where they revert to the T pose.

I think that's one of the things that bothers me the most about Gen Zed---Cameron has so much potential to be an in-depth, well-rounded character, & his only defining characteristic is just being the black guy in a motley crew of misfits. I think he's the most sympathetic character, really, & it really frosts my cookies that he just seems to be stuck in the show as an afterthought.

But anyway.

You know, I considered going on anon & flooding the Gen Zed Tumblr with snappy one-liners. But I'm afraid they would steal my jokes.

I think it'd be really obvious if they did, because suddenly Hayden's & "Shona's" tweets would actually be funny.

Pew pew!

Hayden still doesn't know how autocrrect jokes work.

That dad joke about shagging younger women is sure to please the SJW crowd, which is why Hayden made it for the third time:

Oh, a joke about Hooters. Much SJW such feminist wow

Why are they doing one part of it in 2D and the other in 3D anyway? It just looks wrong, especially if they're going to be side by side or something. Reminds me of those old, old, animated movies where sometimes they used CGI models of really big things right next to the 2D animated characters and backgrounds.
This won't be the same thing exactly, but it'll still be a huge whiplash, like wow

Why the fuck would she edit all that shit out?

Furthermore, wouldn't it make more sense to censor out their username? And the censored post doesn't even make them sound like a troll at all. It's like she was trying to shame them... for not liking a video. It'd be one thing if the comment was something like "KILL THE TRANNIES GENDER WAR NOW" or something but this just makes RancidHero slightly angry at a video and disappointed about the one who created it.
