So I’m not entirely sure what’s going on, but apparently this idol group that Hasan encouraged people to harass over “incorrect progressive thinking” or whatever ended up disbanding because they were getting too much harassment online and people are blaming Hasan for it. His fanbase is trying to defend him over it, but it seems like there’s a decent sized crowd pissed at him.

I think Piker had nothing to do with the doxxing of Sorb3t tbh. They were doxxed on the 27th of May; and from what I can find, Hasan Piker covered them on the same day on his stream. By that time the band was already super controversial on TikTok and Twitter.

Oh yeah, Piker definitely deserves major flack for it. I've just been seeing a lot of terminally online folks like Quarterpounder stating that he is the reason the group got doxxed and harrassed, like his coverage of them started this whole mess.

The poverty mentality is real, and there are a lot of people that will spout off about how "impulsive spending stimulates the economy more than investing" just to prove that point if you suggest that the perpetually poor struggle in no small part because they tend to blow their money on fleeting pleasures instead of trying to make what they have go for longer. It's one thing to occasionally go out for ice cream or buy a new game, it's another when somebody gets Starbucks every day and spends any bonus they get as soon as they get it, and the worst part is that the people that do this always act like they're forced to waste their money if you call out their spendthrift tendencies.
