Unfortunately there's people who'll need this instead of all the other material provided everywhere in order to realize that Hasan is a shitty person, and no amount of sharing the same political opinions can deny that. Thankfully I'm not close enough to anyone who'd actually see this as okay, but unfortunately anyone who can do anything about this likely is too busy or apathetic. I always knew that shock collars were a think, but the concept of them never clicked in my head until now, let alone someone using one just to coerce a dog to sit in one place on camera solely for the sake of livestream decoration.

Watching this unfold has brought upon me a very strange and honestly horrifying observation. Yes, Hasan is a disgusting cockroach that deserves to dangle for how he is treating a defenseless animal that relies on him, but something else has been churning my stomach along with the beer I been nursing...
How do so many people watch this occur and then immediately decide to compromise their integrity and refuse to believe their eyes for the sake of... this asshole? People claim Hasan Piker is charismatic, and while I haven't really watched him much outside of some clips, I have to disagree. His entire schtick is being a condescending, narcissistic midwit that whines, complains, shits on other people and does literally nothing else. I have never heard of him saying anything inspiring, I have never heard of him exhibiting any great measure of compassion, and I have certainly never heard of him give anything resembling some kind of stirring oration. He just sits there pissing moaning and getting indignant. When he talks of LITERALLY anyone else it's to malign them and be an asshole towards them. Very conveniently it is rare they ever get to look him in the eye and respond in kind. On top of that it's all delivered with that disingenuous Californian *saaaaarrrrrcaaaaasm, duuuuuuuuuuude* that makes the rest of the country revile SocCal as a giant collective douchecanoe to be avoided if possible.

And yet, here are all of these people,. with their own agency, their own capacity to look and see what happened. They have their own lives, their own families, their own friends and their own integrity, and they glom onto and rally to the defense of Hasan Fucking Piker? How do you stoop that low to simp for another individual like this and not realise just how utterly pathetic you have really become? Do your morals and integrity matter so little? Does the sum of your parts really just add up to dickriding someone like this?

Yeah that's my take as well, ultimately purely punitive techniques like zapping/choke chains/other nasty stuff (have you ever had anyone try and sell you on ear-biting?) really only ever acts as a stop-gap for some deficiency, at best. The only potentially positive interpretation is if it's something that has to be done for whatever reason (ie: working dogs that must be controlled) and even then only under extraneous circumstances.

The evil of the roach using it to keep a living prop compliant in his gooncave is so banal really, it's something so inherently nasty that anyone can see is "bad", so much so that even the advocates of it have to fall over themselves to excuse it, and here the roach is just casually being so utterly repugnant.

Golden Retrievers are good boys but Kaya is. Tibetan Mastiff mix which makes it even worse since they’re a working breed and their literal instinct is to patrol their territory (usually livestock herds). Kaya is probably very frustrated and possibly anxious about what is happening in the rest of the house (her “territory”) having to sit around in one place for that long
