Joe's not the one behind the DDoS. Think about it.

If he can't even manage to make a threatening callout video on time and give a pathetic "I was just pretending to be retarded" excuse when called out on his cowardice, how could he possibly orchestrate a large-scale denial of service attack that brought the entirety of Linode to its knees?

The fact that he thought anyone would believe him when he tried to take credit for it is the funniest part.
 
I'd possibly come close to maybe believing the "it was a publicity stunt" angle if there was reason for him to want to increase his publicity. As it is, the only thing he does is post 10 second videos. That and the fact his story changes - first it's a publicity stunt and then it's to claim some kind of moral victory.

tl;dr - Just admit you shat your pants and did nothing, @ShadowJoe. We know that's the case anyway.
 
I can't believe he's still maintaining that he's not Harold.

We didn't believe it the first time he said it.

Harold seems to be unaware that lying to us about the video (that itself is a lie, but for the sake of argument...) only makes him look like a fool.

We only lose a few minutes of our time waiting for our entertainment. Harold continues piling-on his reputation of being a fucking moron.

It's a losing situation for you Harold. You lost the instant you decided to play.
 
Honestly, I'm conflicted how to feel here:

Option 1: If Harold did do the DDoS (which I doubt), then he'd better be prepared in case the FBI does do an investigation because last I checked, such an action that takes down who knows how many sites is pretty much illegal everywhere, moreso in America.

Option 2: The more likely one. Harold, if you think taking credit (and denying that it's you at the same time) will help you out, then you kinda screwed yourself over there. Taking credit for the takedown of a web host and its child sites is pretty bad, and it makes you even more of a target for everyone else who's out to get you. And quite frankly, I'm pretty disgusted by these actions even if he didn't instigate the attack, he's still a dick and a massive pussy.

Friendly reminder that Harold is a pants-shitting retard who can't even make a video, let alone launch sustained DDOS attacks on linode for several days. It was 5000% not him. If you think it was, you're retarded too.

He admitted he doesn't even know what a DDOS attack is, so yeah, it wasn't him. But he may be in for a world of hurt, because people who used the other sites hosted by Linode might not be aware that he's a sped and take his claim of responsibility at face value, and decide to exact vengeance. So keep the popcorn handy, this might get really interesting.

That's what I was trying to say. Even if someone doesn't know what a DDOS is, it's still a bad idea to take credit for one. In his rage and arrogance, Harold ends up saying stuff that gets him into even deeper trouble.

Nah, most of the sites affected have no idea who he is. The only way they would know would be if someone told them :ween:
 
He might get a visit from the FBI, but I'm sure they'll quickly be able to tell he's an idiot and they'll just yell at him for wasting their time. Maybe we'll get some funny chimpouts on Youtube or something about how he's oppressed by the government.

True as that may be, him taking the credit for the site's takedown isn't going to do him any favors in the long run. If anything, it's going to make things much worse for him.

Considering there are no other suspects, there's about 110% chance that he will be sent to prison for this crime, where he will be promptly raped and murdered.
