I finally moved to a decent neighborhood a while back. Last two Halloweens have been amazing. People are super nice and friendly. Huge elaborate decorations, big crowds moving politely through the streets. Very high trust, safe area and big surprise not a lot of black people and lots of trump flags. One house had a cooler full of ice cold beers for the adults.

That's what my town used to be like, every year had huge haunted houses and decorations but within the last few years it crashed hard and now its dead. Hopefully when I move it will be better.

Part of it is living in a less trafficked part of a small town.
I did tell two of the preteens with no costume to kick rocks.
"No costume, no candy." Thems the rules and I have a camera.
