The problem isn't a lack of knowledge on fiscal responsibility, it's the lack of the discipline required to use those theories in real life.
Absolutely!!! Generation FAIL's society/mindset is based on short term gratification. The "I must have it NOW" mentality. They have a complete disconnect on how the real world works and because of that they are enslaved by their very own actions. They are Consoooomers to the corporations and the marketing that is prevalent in our society.
I see this mindset every single day as I watch broke ass people in some very expensive vehicles that will take 7 or more years to pay off their loan, shopping in Walley World. Or at the coffee shop ordering their decaf/soy/latte/no fat mocha, complaining on how bad they have to work. Or at the Bank, the park, the county fair... These are the people that will pay with their Apple pay card/visa and pay the interest for that action instead of paying it off in cash.
The Land of the Consooomer is what I see and I and a few others were able see this train wreck coming and too the right actions to avoid it. Generation FAIL is such a disappointment.
What I do know is while these people will not pick up a penny that is lying on the ground, because it is beneath them, because its just a penny.
I will, because I know the value of wealth. When I was homeless every penny found/saved equaled one step upwards towards getting back into society. One penny save = One penny served.
Which equals to investing wisely for long term financial solutions.
Wealth equates Power but wealth "Equates Freedom".
And the Freedom I'm talking about is never ever having to worry about any bill for the rest of your life. That is something I believe that most people can achieve in their later years IF, they stop living beyond their means when they are young.
